Brighton Beach Hotel remains one of Brighton's oldest landmarks, established as the Royal Terminus Hotel in the 1840s. Once formerly well known as Milano’s Tavern, Brighton Beach Hotel is the second hotel south of the Yarra River and was originally built of local red ironstone. The hotel was once so remote that it was bailed up by bushrangers.
One of Brighton's oldest landmarks the hotel has multiple events spaces famous for stunning weddings, engagements, 21st birthdays and corporate conferencing and events with incredible bay views, a newly renovated beer garden and a large Bistro perfect for any occasion or celebration.

Second time I’ve eaten here. This time was much better! Decided to get a streak sandwich and hamburger, both fabulous. Served up with a generous side of fries. Service was very friendly and the meals arrived quickly.

We celebrated our wedding yesterday at the Brighton Beach Hotel’s Bayview Room and were delighted with the whole event. The new functions manager Will Mackenzie was amazing. He arrived early in the day to check that everything was in order and worked tirelessly to fix those things that needed rectifying. Despite a very long day he kept everything running smoothly throughout the night according to our plan. The tables and chairs were beautifully dressed, the food was delicious, and the service was efficient and discreet. We had some gluten free and vegetarians in our group and they were all very happy with the options provided. The dance floor worked brilliantly with our live band and the views are always amazing (especially if the weather is kind) All in all it was a fabulous evening and we wouldn’t hesitate to book this venue for any future celebrations.

A few months ago, I took my elderly dad there for lunch. I ordered the half rack of BBQ pork ribs. It arrived with an unappealing looking purple coleslaw. I tried some and it tasted off. I sent my meal back to be replated with a green salad, and the meal was beautiful. Today I took my dad back for lunch again. He ordered the same meal, and to my amazement.. the same looking coleslaw was on the plate, with a random pickle that looks out of place. Dad refused to eat the coleslaw based on last time. I had the Humpty Doo Barramundi today and it was beautiful. Some of the other meals have been too, but the pork ribs we love...the slaw let's it down. I know it can be done better.

Had dinner last night for a milestone birthday. Our waitress was lovely and helpful. Our meals came promptly and the steaks were perfectly cooked to our liking. Bar staff were great, and wine was excellent. Will definitely be back.

We have been there few times already as it is one of the best ALH venues. But last time we booked it for birthday party and they arranged everything great very tidy and cleaning is exceptional, foods were delicious and staffs were amazing. Another thing I must say “ Oskar’s” service is exceptional and beyond our expectations.
