I had the best time at Fortress Melbourne! I kept thinking how great it is to have such a big community in Melbourne that loves games enough to create a place like this. With three levels, it offers games of all kinds and so many spaces to play them. You can hire almost any game from the bar and play with friends or solo, which is such a fun experience. We wandered around and eventually decided to play a board game called Psycho Killer, which was fantastic. The pixelated fire added a surprisingly cozy touch to the large space, and there were plenty of similar little nooks throughout. We got some drinks, which were nice and reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. Even at 12am the place still had a lively vibe, with dedicated gamers streaming or playing. The space is so well-designed and thoughtfully themed, it’s truly a gamer’s paradise. If you’re a game lover, don’t miss this place! You can even try your hand at arcade games and go for one of the many prizes. It’s really a one-stop shop, and I’m pretty sure you could spend an entire day here just playing games and exploring everything they offer. Check it out next time you’re nearby!

3 level massive gaming place located in a section of the emporium. Fortress Melbourne is a 1000-person capacity venue, featuring 160 gaming PCs, console gaming suites, a restaurant, two bars, a board games and arcades section, gaming booths around the tv, and a merchandise shop. the licenced venue below is 18 plus, and they have a current offer of free board games on Wednesdays. they do great food, and yummy cocktails, including a hot rum drink. staff are friendly and helpful. it's a great place to hang with friends and play board games, or just a place to chill and eat food (mostly standard pub food). I ordered a burger the last time I was there, was a good size and tasty.

Have been here a couple of times and hired out a booth. Everytime staff were beyond accommodating and helpful, helping us find a lost phone and answering questions about the membership. The last time we were there, Will the magican wowed and amazed us from his amazing tricks to just setting a really fun and safe environment. If you are there on one of his nights, definitely keep an eye out. Could not recommend him enough and the wonder he brings. The new tavern food was delicious, especially the popcorn chicken bites. Overall just really wonderful comfy vibes with some wonderful staff and amenities like the pc gaming lounge.
