The experience was great. The whole family enjoyed the experience. The room was located on one of the top floors and the breakfast menu was pre-set by the hotel. As it was the Express Holiday inn the kids and adult breakfast was included but the lunch menu didn't have free meals for kids with a paying adult lunch or dinner like the normal Holiday inn hotels have. (We didn't know/check before booking the express hotel) The location was in the centre of the city so all sight seeing Markets and Shopping central was easily accessible by public transport especially the free tram routes in the CBD 🌟👍 Very helpful and friendly staff☺️ Laundry_coin operated, neat and clean gym, both located on lower level of hotel building..and 3 levels of parking for guests on a discounted price. Restaurants, cafes and shops all located within walking/short driving distance.

This hotel was okay if you are on a budget. My biggest issue is the breakfast. It is by far the worst breakfast I have had in any hotel ever. It was aggressively appalling. I could not find anything normal to eat. All the yogurts are flavoured and filled with sugar. The scrambled eggs were completely raw and filled with cream (truly nauseating) making them fatty, sloppy and uncooked all at once. The rooms were, fine … bathroom had a very weird glass door situation which pivoted to close toilet and shower at the same time. I did not like that. Location is great right in CBD. I recommend skipping the breakfast and walking to Patricia’s for a coffee.

Recommend this hotel and we will come back next time! A room with two queen beds is spacious and comfortable for family. Room services come daily and thank you for changing the floor towels, cleaning the rubbish bins and even tidying up our beds. Buffet breakfast included, and I like the simple congee with chinese celery 芫茜白粥 that makes my stomach feel good in the morning especially eating many cuisines during our holiday trip. Location is convenient as the Train Station and Light Rail Stations are around the corner. Good for us to go anywhere in the city.

Terrible services. We booked 2 queen beds via Capital One travel and we got 2 twin beds during our New Year trip. We didn’t get any explanations from the hotel and were told we have to solve that by ourselves. I understand it is not the fault of the hotel (edited: this assumption may not be true, I will explain why), but I would feel better if they could help foreign travelers who flew 15 hours at the moment. (We haven’t solve the issue yet) I also see other reviews mentioned the same manager who is very rude. Seems like it is not only us. Edit the third time: we wanted to make call to Capital one by ourselves, and tried to use the phone in the twin room, we asked the price for calling, but the reception told us they don’t know. Is that professional? Updates: we bought ATT daily pass ($12), called Capital one, they confirmed we booked 2 queen beds, they gave us a couple of compensation options immediately. Since no availability of hotel, we cannot get our queen beds room, so we choose to stay in the twin and got partial refund (otherwise we have to relocate to other nearby hotels, and it was very late). I guess (by the information I knew), Capital one worked with 3rd parties to book hotels in AU (this happened a lot in this industry), and somehow the 3rd party agent and the hotel mess up our booking by removing the word queen from the booking. But anyway, as the consumer, we are not responsible for investigating the issue by ourselves. I am very disappointed by the AU trip. I have travelled to a couple of countries (Europe, America, Asia), and this is the worst experience so far. I, as a consumer, was told to solve the issue happened in the AU hotel black box system, that’s really ridiculous. And compared to the hotel, I don’t have all the information they know, they shouldn’t pushing the responsibility out to their customers.

Location: very good. Room service: good. Breakfast: terrible! Only for hard lovers of English cuisine... No vegetables, no real bread (just processed toast), only healthy option is to take muesli. Mashed eggs look meeeh. Bacon is soft. No ham, no cheese, no nothing. Coffee is not coffee, just brown water. Fruit juices have 0 fibres, so thin. I get it is included, but honestly... I would even pay to get something better. You can bear this maybe each 2nd or 3rd day of your 2week stay.
