Tucked away in the King Valley, where vineyards meet rugged mountain views and golden-hour light paints everything in a dreamy glow, Lancemore Milawa offered me a getaway I’ll never forget. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the sense of calm and understated luxury. The hotel’s interiors, designed by the talented team at The Stella Collective, blend warmth, elegance, and a deep connection to nature. Natural textures, earthy tones, and open spaces create a mood of relaxed sophistication that invites you to breathe a little deeper and slow down. My room opened onto a private balcony with sweeping views of the surrounding vines. The perfect spot to savour a glass of local wine, a bite of cheese, and the soft magic of a High Country sunset. It quickly became my favourite ritual each evening. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is effortlessly serene, from the inviting lounges to the beautifully curated library corners. Every detail has been considered, and yet nothing feels forced. It’s stylish, but never pretentious the kind of place where you can truly unwind and feel at ease. Merlot Restaurant Bar was another highlight. With a strong emphasis on regional produce, the menu celebrates local flavours in thoughtful, elegant ways. The wine list curated with passion and precision showcases the best of King Valley and beyond. Every meal here felt like a celebration of the land. I also chose the Explore King Valley package, which made discovering the region incredibly seamless and enriching. From boutique wineries to cheese tastings and artisan distilleries, the package allowed me to connect with the essence of the area, all while returning each evening to the comfort and charm of Lancemore. Whether you're escaping for a romantic weekend, a solo retreat, or a slow-paced adventure with friends, Lancemore Milawa offers something rare ! A genuine sense of place, wrapped in beauty and peace. Honestly, I couldn't have imagined a more perfect escape.

We come to Milawa Lancemore every year at this time. We have loved the renovation refresh and the venue provides ample space to relax and enjoy the wonderful amenities. The food and beverage offerings are exceptional and highlight the local area. Booking dinner at Merlot is recommended. The service is first class. The location is ideal, with so many places to visit in walking distance or a short drive away - Brown Brothers winery, Ava Restaurant, Henley's Wine Bar, Milawa Cheese Company and Milawa Mustards to name a few. We will be back again in 2025.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there's a lot of things that can be improved. The grounds and communal spaces are beautiful. But it's overpriced for what you get and the quality of service. You'd expect better for nearly $500 a night. We were lucky enough to get the stay for 2 nights, get the third night free deal, but if I paid full price, I would've been very disappointed. - Service is lacking, and you're felt feeling like you're inconveniencing them when you ask for something. - There are a lot of bugs!! Maybe not something that can be solved, and the fly spray in the room is appreciated, but it's not pleasant having bugs die and land all over the room, including the bed. - The pool is a pleasant space, but it needs maintenance. There seems to be some sort of moss growing in the corners at the bottom of the pool and as it disintegrates, it floats throughout the pool. Either it needs to be emptied and filled or cleaned more often. There's no service to buy drinks by the pool, but they also ask that drinks from outside aren't consumed in communal spaces, which doesn't seem fair. They also need more pool beds and umbrellas. - The breakfast is okay. Food is fine, but not great, and it seems like they are understaffed. - There are meant to be board games available, but all they had was one monopoly board. On the plus side, Ava and the pub (both walking distance) are great! Ava is absolutely delicious and the service is really good. The pub is just a standard pub, with friendly service and good meals.

Terrific spot to stay to sample the Milawa/King Valley region. Directly opposite Brown Brothers (that has really informative & enjoyable tastings) and a great restaurant too. Onsite Lancemore restaurant was very solid, as was its breakfast offering. Highly recommend.
