Staying here over Christmas and 8 rooms out of 36 have people staying. This is a travesty as it is a beautiful location and should be full at this time of year. The room itself is very clean, large with a huge comfortable bed. Bathroom good, except the shower leaks out onto the floor. Another good thing is it is dog friendly.... our doggies loves it. We have walked all around the very unkempt gardens.... needs some serious maintenance!!! Mr Owner, you need to come and have a look at this lovely place just rotting. It is supposedly 4 stars.... don't think so!!! Pauline and Peter.
Easy from start to finish. Booked on short notice, needed an early check in, all of this on Christmas Day. Easy to find, clean, simple! Allowed my dog to stay with me whilst obeying a few house rules (easy) Would stay again!
I stayed for one night on the top floor with a nice view of the forest, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the room was spacious, it was outdated and not very clean. The bathroom was particularly in poor condition, with dirty grout and water damage from the shower. I also found spiders and insects in the room, which made it feel less than comfortable. Several amenities that were advertised, such as a restaurant and spa, were either nonexistent or not as described. The "spa" appeared to be a converted guest suite, and the prices for services seemed extremely high for what was offered. The pool was in poor condition as well, with green, unclean water. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations, and I feel the property is not worth the price they charge.
I recently stayed here and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were unwelcoming; the staff member at the desk didn’t even look up to greet me, leaving me waiting awkwardly. The room itself was concerning – there were bugs EVERYWHERE and my baby’s cot on the floor only added to my worries. We were told we get 1gb internet per day which didn’t work. The internet on tv does not work. When asked for help, the staff member has no idea and asks us to refer back to a paper left on the desk in the room. There were spider webs all around the room. The pool was unusable due to its green, murky color, raising serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. Rusty showerheads, outdated and broken furniture, and even sharp metal pieces sticking out from the coffee table (which injured my toddler) all added to the poor condition of this property. Additionally, we were not informed during booking that the restaurant was under renovation, leaving us without dining options. Overall, this stay was highly disappointing. I would not recommend anyone staying here and certainly won’t be returning.
We stayed two nights here to attend our son’s wedding nearby. We really want to thank Nicole and Jasmine who went above and beyond for us - helping is sort out some tricky logistical issues. A beautiful spot - perfect for our needs.
