Love the Mantra. Rooms are usually good. This one was an accessible room and a bit small but ok for us. Long slow wait in line to check in, but the young man who checked us in was very helpful. Location, right on the beach. Beautiful views, even on a brisk windy day. Short walk to ocean. Star of the Mantra Lorne is the restaurant. All Mantras fo a great buffet breakfast that you can include, we always do. The restaurant also did dinner and the meals the coffee, and the wine were excellent. Five stars for restaurant, the young man who checked us in and the location.
Having stayed at Mantra at Lorne on several occasions before I had no hesitation booking my extended family of 14 into the mantra for the week before Easter. We all loved the holiday. Renae at Reception made booking so easy. The staff at Mantra were so obliging, supplying towels, extra linen etc - nothing was too much trouble! The breakfast each morning was of great quality and a wide variety. I'd highly recommend Mantra to everyone!
The location is definitely a highlight—beautiful spot, close to everything in Lorne. However, the room really let the experience down. It felt damp, had a musty smell, and wasn't as clean as expected. For $300 a night, I anticipated a higher standard. With some improvements to the room quality, it could be a much better stay.
Great location, wide variety of options in the breakfast included option. Super close to the beach. Tennis court with rackets and balls available for borrowing at the reception. Rooms were pretty stock standard, staff were very helpful. Would recommend but can book out pretty quick on school holidays
When we first booked at the Mantra Lorne, we didn't know much about the property. However, it was a wonderful experience inside and out. It has an old world charm that is undeniable and for us had almost a nostalgic feel to it - like a place of warmth and heart that has been tended for decades. The property is lovely and the natural beauty is pristine. It's also located right on the water which was a surprise underneath a beautiful moon. The food and dining area was also wonderful. Overall, a magical retreat. Highly recommend.
