Function Venue

Munich Brauhaus is a slice Oktoberfest, and Munich, in Melbourne. All year round. All 365 days of the year. For those who've lamented the lack of German beer halls in Melbourne, the time for lamenting is now officially over. Across multiple bars and multiple levels, Munich Brauhaus brings the delicious beer-loving vibes, hearty food and sense of a good time that you'd expect with an Oktoberfest celebration. It's worth noting the venue's size: the Wunderbar (a sprawling and high-ceilinged dining hall) fits up to 600 guests standing, or 300 seated. For smaller events, the Uber Bar fits up to 60 guests, and the King Ludwig Mezzanine for a slightly more private space – for events of up to 150 guests. And the spaces themselves? They befit the stylish South Wharf location, with loads of natural light, blonde wood, greenery, and definite hunting lodge hints.

Munich Brauhaus Melbourne is an absolute gem! The vibe is always fun and energetic, with live music, friendly staff, and a buzzing crowd. The food is delicious—massive schnitzels, juicy sausages, and the pork knuckle is a standout. Their range of German beers on tap is impressive and pairs perfectly with the menu. Whether you’re out with friends or celebrating something special, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend for a fun night out in Melbourne!

Unfortunately the food let them down badly. They have a fully covered outside sitting area so you can enjoy the atmosphere without being affected by the weather which was great. The staff was very attentive, helpful and professional. The food.... the schnitzels are average but the mashed potato was tasteless and had strange texture and the mushroom sauce was tasteless. We had much better elsewhere. My fish was average, although the sauce was very nice. I would not come back because there are much better other options. The pork knuckles might have been good but I didn't get to try.

It was our first time here. The staff were attentive and friendly. The service was excellent. The meal portions were generous. We loved it all. Highly recommend. We even popped back in for a coffee and dessert on the same night. Luis gave us great service.

It's not the only German food I like, but it would be one I would highly recommend. I just happened to be passing by on my first visit, but the roasted pork knuckle was a hit. 🍺 I forgot to take a picture because it was really good. It's a fruit beer-like one slightly sweet I loved it! This restaurant is worth trying, and if you're lucky during dinner you'll even get a band playing.

Food portions are pretty good for this day and age. Got a mixed platter - Pork Crqckling was golden but rubbery. Schnitzel was quite dry. The sausages were really good and we enjoyed the other accompaniments. Service was great, we had a really nice blonde German guy (sorry I forgot his name) suggesting places to visit and German things. Large beers and novelties. Had a great time. Loved the plates and clean plating.
