Rooftop Bar
•Slate Restaurant Bar declares its mission to be one of providing an escape (an oasis, if you will) for the lawyerly and business types slaving away in the CBD - if only for a meal’s worth of time. They’re doing a pretty good job; Slate’s a modern, comfortable and stylish inner-city location to have a drink, lunch, or dinner. The cuisine at Slate Restaurant is best described as European with a few Asian surprises and influences. With a head chef trained under Marco Pierre White, you’re in good hands in any case. Besides that, there’s a good selection of cocktails, and all of the requisite beers needed for a good post-work pint. Within its sophisticated walls, there are two dining rooms and three terraces. How do you get more terraces than dining rooms? We’re not sure, but they’ve done it. As a result, Slate is able to act as a function venue for groups ranging from one digit to about three hundred. The venue boasts a range of distinct zones to morph from a daytime lunch venue into an enticing atmosphere. Slate has the flexibility to create multiple breakout spaces, allowing for a fantastic hospitality experience. It is perfect for private functions like intimate dinners, birthday bashes, lunch parties, cocktail soirée gatherings and corporate events. Or if you're looking for a place for your next Friday night out, Slate is the place to be!

Food was great! Good sized portion for the price! Dessert was quite a rip off though. Very small and not well presented either!
Slate Restaurant Bar: --- Slate Restaurant Bar, located on level 1 of Goldsborough Village, is excellent. The staff is attentive and friendly, checking in on us multiple times to let us know the specials, take our orders, and ensure we were enjoying our meal. The $20 drinks and lunch combo is fantastic—I loved the cheeseburger, which was juicy and delicious, though quite filling. The ambiance is great, and the private area for functions is a nice touch. It's essential to reserve tables, as we noticed many reservation signs. We were fortunate to find a bar table out front. They also host trivia, which adds a fun element to the experience. The restaurant's hidden location is a gem, conveniently close to Flagstaff and Southern Cross train stations, as well as tram stops. Highly recommended!
The place is excellent, staff is attentive and friendly. They came to us thrice, once to let us know the specials for the day, to take down the orders and then to check if we are enjoying or not. :) the 20 dollar drinks cum lunch combo is really good. Loved the cheeseburger, it was so juicy and yummy.. Pretty heavy though. Ambience is quite good. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere and perfectly poured drinks. Would and do recommend.
Nice place. Went for a function at the roof top bar. Fabulous food, service and space. Would recommend for a function.
