$20–40 We had a delicious meal today at cheeky squires. I had the vegan burger and it was very flavourful. One of the tastiest burgers I’ve had. Came with chips and they were also hot and yum. Others in the party had: A cheese burger; meat was a little overcooked and dry. Bummer. Chicken burger; was very yummy Barramundi; it’s was ok (fussy boomer says all meals are just ok) Parma - it was ok. (Is a Parma connoisseur So I take this as factual) Tough critics today! It all looked really good tho. The staff were so lovely and I loved how the waitress knew we wanted 3 spoons for the dessert we ordered. I forgot to take pics of the food but got the dessert. The venue is lovely, great big windows with views of the creek and bay. Two big decks to eat or hang out in. the only issue (If I want to be real picky) is that the bar section / eating area was showing a fight on the big screen and they were loud a few times. But if in that area it would have been exciting and adding to the atmosphere.
Came back after a few years remembering the great ambience, and it’s still awesome. Fantastic location and perfect to combine with a beach day. The food is good with a large menu — the pork belly and brisket tacos were our favourites! One downside was the bathroom, which was a bit smelly and not very clean. Apart from that, the staff were super friendly and clearly enjoy their work. It might be a bit much for some guests, but for us (working in the same industry) it was great to see. Will definitely be back with family and friends.
We went to the Cheeky Squire for lunch, after Jetskiing at the Frankston Boat ramp & Pier. We had a beautiful Lamb Pizza with capsicum, onion and tomato, which was delicious, after working up an appitite out on the water. The Mid River beer was also delicious of Rich, malty character. Also lovely views over the Creek and Ocean. Waitresses were friendly and efficient, but the meal took awhile to arrive at our table. Very enjoyable!
Had dinner for my Birthday on a Saturday night. The Food was Fantastic. Ordering via QR code was a tad of a Nuisance as I was the only Millennial with older friends. Whom had no idea how to use QR codes to order. Sadly, the Atmosphere had Distorted loud 'music' the kind of Distortion you get either with cheap or badly set up Sound Systems. I and various family members have worked in Stage etc, so Distortion verbrations are off putting. The food was Amazing, but they need to do, better Sound checks when playing live music.
Service was below average, not explaining drinks correctly - and giving attitude when mistook Long Island iced tea for a cider. Food, mains tasted okay, skimped on the meat and went hard on the broccolini. Dessert, probably the worst creme brûlée I’ve ever seen. Tasted like tea leaves and looked less than appetising. Won’t be coming back
