Located within reaching distance of Melbourne Zoo, Melbourne University, Flemington Racecourse and the Queen Victoria Markets, this is a delightful hotel that's also capable of hosting meetings and corporate events. Dedicated to David Larwill, the Larwill Studio takes its inspiration from the respected artist's studio. Art fills the many accommodation rooms and meeting spaces of the hotel, making it a location for presentations and workshops that manages to be much more interesting than the usual boardroom or blank office space. There are two meeting rooms available at The Larwill Studio, which can be used individually, or joined together to make one larger function room.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are ALWAYS clean and hygienic, The cleanest within 2km ( thanks to the wonderful cleaning staff ) The next cleanest is TURNKEY We can always get a wonderful night sleep 1. the beds are comfortable 2. there is never any noise from the other guests, or anything else.

This was the 2nd time we stayed at the Larwill. We like the closeness to public transport and Royal Park. The Larwill is easy to get to by car with plenty of underground parking at a reasonable cost. Check-in is always quick and easy, always a friendly face at receptions. The rooms are spacious, with a fridge, microwave, plates and cutlery, with a table to sit and enjoy the views or some food. The beds are very comfortable. The on-site restaurant serves a great breakfast and dinner, good portions at a reasonable cost. The team creates a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, wanting you to come back.

A really lovely hotel in a fantastic location just outside the city. I booked a room with a park view, which was definitely worth it. The staff were lovely, the room was nice and quiet and the bed was very comfy Only two things could be improved - the tv doesn't have any way to stream things, and the restaurant doesn't open in the afternoon/evening on weekends These are minor issues though

I had back to back appointments with RMH and RCH , booking with Larwill was the best decision because of its ideal location. They share parking with RCH which made it so much more convenient. I got around easily to all my appointments without the stress of parking. I stayed for 2 nights and I got king bed with the best view of city. Facilities are well maintained, clean rooms with all basic amenities and good restaurants nearby, I couldn't have been happier. Would highly recommend them.

Clean, neat, fun and fresh hotel. Comfy beds and quite rooms. Staff were friendly. Although disappointed the hotel bar/restaurant wasn't open for drinks or quick snacks or dining on a weekend, only breakfast available 7am -11am, which we thought was quite odd. And we were only handed a list of local pubs, after I asked about food/drinks, or one suggestion was to go to the local food court (ummm no thank you). Most suggested fooderies were minimum 400-500 metres walk away and then some, and the 2 we visited that were closest were closed. Not a great way to enjoy our stay or spend time between a wedding ceremony and the late arvo reception, which is why we booked The Larwill as in a convenient location to wedding and had a bar/ restaurant to by our time between. Breakfast was very tasty generous serving size. However, coffee in cafe needs to be addressed, as too milky and bland, sorry tough coffee critic here, I like coffee in my coffee so to speak. Although a few tweaks could be made, the overall stay was pleasant and beds comfortable.
