Incredible venue. The Tuesday jazz night is a marvel, bar staff are fantastic, prices are cheap and service is amazing. TRANSGENDER PEOPLE ARE NOT WELCOME IN THIS VENUE. Wish I could return as the time I had was amazing but, alas. Cisgender people should 100% check this place out. Transgender people DO NOT GO HERE, it is not safe. 🥀💔
The FOH staff are amazing and music is a delight. TRANSGENDER PEOPLE ARE NOT WELCOME IN THIS VENUE. For your own safety, please steer clear!!! Cisgender people should check out the jazz nights on Tuesday, the musicians are amazing and the atmosphere is incredibly inviting. TRANS PEOPLE STAY AWAY, THIS VENUE IS NOT SAFE.
Wish I could give more stars, the staff are exceptional, the atmosphere is amazing. Tuesdays are a highlight at the toff for sure. THIS VENUE IS UNSAFE FOR TRANSGENDER PEOPLE. DO NOT GO HERE. MANAGEMENT IS UNEQUIPPED TO HANDLE TRANSGENDER PATRONS AND YOU WILL BE REMOVED. could not speak more highly of the jazz nights. Cisgender people — run, don’t walk.
GENUINELY THE WORST VENUE IVE EVER BEEN TO!!!! Went to a concert tonight and the staff throughout the day and night continued to give everyone different information. They clearly didn’t know what was happening, but instead of telling us that or actually finding someone who knew what was happening, they gave us incorrect information. Myself and my group of friends spoke to the “manager” at multiple different times throughout the evening, and at one point we asked the “manager” if we had time before going inside to use the bathroom because we knew that we wouldn’t be able to inside, as we were all in line, and they said we had 20 minutes before we were let in and that we most definitely had time to go to the bathroom. So of course, trusting the “managers” word, we went to the bathroom and not even 2 minutes into us being in there we hear someone yell “everyone’s going in!!” So of course mid USING THE BATHROOM we run out and realise that everyone has gone inside and we’d lost our spots that we spent HOURS lining up for. A truly terrible experience. Proper communication and training would’ve helped this situation and prevented it. Great show, but that was because the artist was great. Venue itself was nice. Drinks were meh. Staff not so great.
I was actually intrigued by the lighting and the small private booths. It felt like it was more designed for couples with the vibe it sets. I personally liked the decor and just had a drink from the bar. The food menu did not seem to attract my attention and just seemed abnoxiously expensive. Even their drinks were on the higher end. They do have other events like comedy or live music, which might be of interest for others to check out. In fact, they had a comedy show going on the night i visited. They are located in the second floor of the Curtin house.
