Located on 6,000 sqm, comprised of indoor and outdoor space, in the Port Melbourne industrial precinct, The Timber Yard is a landmark Melbourne venue of unprecedented size and event flexibility. The site has been restored, remaining true to its heritage of second-hand timber storage and fabrication. The Timber Yard is an urban sanctuary designed to bring the flavour and personality of the country into the city. The Timber Yard is home to four unique event spaces. Among these is a 1,000sqm lush turfed outdoor area perfect for a wedding ceremony, product launch or cocktail-style event. The back of the property hosts a 1,400sqm warehouse space suited to any type of event, big or small. Both of these spaces can host up to 1,500 guests seated or standing. The Workshop and The Wood Store are more intimate spaces built from reclaimed timber, and old steel and spotted with lush greenery. The in-house AV team ensures that all audio-visual needs are met seamlessly, providing high-quality sound and lighting for every occasion. Nice good size stage. Good sound and light systems. Humongous out door space. Neat and tidy toilets. Rooms to get ready for plays. Heating is very comfortable. Undercover area is huge on top of main hall.

The venue, people and music rocked. Utah Saints were awesome. I want to go back that good. Booze drinks are about expensive but they do have free water at the side of the front bar

Assembled at this location, we eagerly awaited the arrival of the renowned Indian singer, Lucky Ali, ready to immerse ourselves in an unforgettable experience. And indeed, it turned out to be a truly delightful encounter. Although it was the month of July in the year 2023, I couldn't help but feel that this pub would have been the perfect spot for a December gathering. The closed section of the establishment provided a sanctuary, shielding us from the biting winds that Melbourne is known for. It was a stroke of luck that this particular area of the pub was available, as it not only offered respite from the chilly weather but also served as a haven for those who had chosen this venue for their wedding celebrations. The ambiance of the pub was inviting, making it an ideal place to spend quality time with friends. The atmosphere was vibrant, with a sense of camaraderie permeating the air. Laughter and animated conversations filled the space, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. As the evening progressed, Lucky Ali took the stage, captivating us with his soulful voice and mesmerizing melodies.
