I love seeing a movie at the karingal cinemas, It's one of my top 5 places to visit, the staff are nice and I will try their best to work fast to deliver the food you ordered

Went to Gold Class at Karingal today & paid for an XL Popcorn & 2x Medium Coke to be brought in at the start of the movie. Whilst we saw everyone else receiving their first & even some had their second round of food/drinks… we still hadn’t received anything.. it was a good 30 minutes into the movie. We pressed the service button, it took the staff member close to 10 minutes to appear and for them to try and take our order. To which we replied, we had already ordered and wondering where it is. The attendant said they would look into it. Another 10 minutes later, still nothing and by this time, we are frustrated with the service & have missed the movie by wondering where our food was. I ended up having to leave the movie and go find out what was happening myself, to find that out popcorn and drinks were just sitting at the bar. The popcorn was made up of small, leftover pieces & the cokes ice was melted down. The staff at the bar blamed the reason on not enough staff, but had the ability to fill the rest of the cinema with food and drinks, twice over. I had to carry our food order into the cinema myself - we could have just paid for a standard ticket & received the same service… if not better. Truely poor service. Could not be more disappointed.

Venue is good, staff are great. Food is soo disappointing it will ruin your movie. I recommend bringing your own food from one of the venues out front of the cinema. I was made to feel like royalty from the staff, charged $112 for food and by the time i had eaten it i felt like a peasant. The soft drink and popcorn was good and that is all i will ever eat from village cinemas again. How they serve this reheated frozen dog food is beyond belief

Enjoy the movies. Went to gold class and didn’t really think I got what I paid for. The gold class waiting room is tired and chairs are old and stained. Waited a while to be served and it was too late for a few drinks before the movies…. Food didn’t come when asked or drinks. Was very disappointed.

I booked tickets to see Deadpool & Wolverine with my two teenage kids, I accidently booked on a Friday and meant to book for the Saturday, I realised about 3 minutes after I had booked, there was no easy way to cancel so I rebooked for the Saturday and emailed them on their refunds email address and was told I could not get a refund due to the session had already started, mind you they happily took my money after the session had started. Enjoy my extra $68 Village will be the last time I go there Hoyts from now on. Also the place was grubby.
