Northside Wines is a spacious, multifaceted venue located in the inner north of Melbourne, conveniently accessible from the CBD, parking areas, and public transport. Our primary focus is on alternative wines and honest, delicious food, but we also know how to throw an incredible party.

Our interior space is ideal for a variety of occasions and events. Skylights scattered throughout the plant-filled area provide natural light during the day, creating the perfect ambiance for daytime gatherings. At night, with dimmed lights and flickering candles, the venue takes on an intimate feel despite its size. The entire space is adaptable; even though we can accommodate a large number of guests, you are not obligated to reserve the full or even half of the venue (unless you wish to). We will simply tailor the space to fit the size of your event.

Our venue is suitable for large canapé functions, as well as spacious sit-down dinners or convention-style events. We also offer two bright outdoor areas. Our courtyard/wine garden is a secluded, uncovered spot that can host up to 40 guests for private events with canapés and casual nibbles, complete with a separate sound system that connects to your phone or laptop. The courtyard is fully covered now, with plenty of heaters for cooler evenings. During the day, the sun shines overhead, while the garden remains partially shaded. After sunset, fairy lights overhead create the illusion of a starlit sky.

Next door, we have a stunning outdoor private space—a beautiful covered secret garden with flexible seating (available only during warmer months). A large fig tree provides ambient shade in the afternoon, keeping the garden cool. At night, festoon lights add a picturesque touch to your event. This setting is perfect for groups with children, allowing you to relax while they play without concerns. The space is shielded from direct sunlight, making it ideal for daytime events like baby showers and hens parties, while the enchanting festoon lighting lends a magical atmosphere throughout the evening.
