•The Rogue Squire brings the cheeky rogue attitude of James Squire to Wheelers Hill. Known as Australia’s first brewer, James Squire was a risk taker at heart who turned his life around from being a convict on the First Fleet to become the colony’s first and most sought after brewer. With the James Squire history in mind, The Rogue Squire has been renovated with a sense of history and storytelling. Featuring the full James Squire range on tap as well as a few limited release craft beers, The Rogue Squire is the perfect spot for any social or special occasion.

The starters and main food options were nice and offered plenty of variety. There’s a dedicated bar on the ground floor as well as an upstairs dining area with its own bar, so you can choose the vibe you like. Seating is flexible too, with both indoor and outdoor options. The ground floor bar also has a pool table, and there are plenty of large TVs, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a footy match with a cold beer. The staff were friendly, attentive, and kept the place very clean. Overall, it’s a great venue for both casual drinks and a proper meal.
had an amazing time at The Rogue Squire with my family! the venue is stunning and we were served by the wonderful Taine, Ebony, and Lucas. the manager Oscar was friendly and very attentive. the food arrived woth good timing, was delicious and had a generous portion size. highly recommend for anyone looking for a night out with friends and/or family!
Was an ok experience, dissapointed with the size of my meal though, for $52 the steak was quite nice.... but very stingy on the chips and salad, also when ordering the cape grim steak it said you have a choice of sauces... but there was no choice of sauces, so the 2 of us that had ordered the steak then had to go up and order sauces separately. The place has a good selection of the squire beers and they are a good price also.... for these days. Good amount of TV's to enjoy the footy. The kitchen was massively under the pump and it did take a long time for our food to come out, so order as soon as you sit down, you'll be waiting a while. Plenty of parking which was probably the best thing about the place. I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back but I'd say it's worth going once.
The Rouge squire has it all. Excellent atmosphere, with friendly staff always with a smile ready to serve. The food is always yummy and of course the beers which make it the Rouge squire. Thumbs up to the chefs and kitchen staff for their excellent service. See you all very soon. Cheers2U all. Nej.
Perfect venue for my 60th Birthday Food , drinks and atmosphere were amazing I was very happy and so were my guests the only thing I can fault was I played the music through Spotify but I really couldn’t hear it for dancing. Not sure if there was another system but I wasn’t told or advised. But overall was a great afternoon.
