I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have always enjoyed my stay. The rooms are comfortable, well presented and well serviced. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide range of food available. Always a pleasant, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel.
It was an extremely convenient location. We had city views, which were lovely. Very quiet. Couldn't hear any outside traffic at all. Unsure about the room cleanliness. There was hair on the roof in the bathroom, and marks on the wall that looked suspicious... Room was spacious, and bed was fairly comfy. One of the lights had a strobe-like flicker, which was a little alarming. Video included. No issues with service because you check-in yourself on a screen in the lobby, so no need to interact with anyone. You drop your room key in a box when leaving. There's a Cafe and toilets in the lobby, and comfy couches. Taxis hovering outside. The room was very cheap (160) considering how close it is to Melbourne cbd.
They have multiple check-in stations where you can fill in the information yourself, with someone standing by to help out too. Having booked online prior to our arrival, check-in was quick and easy. I enjoyed this as it simplified everything, and before you know it, you're heading to your room. The room was spacious and clean. While the views weren’t particularly outstanding, this wasn’t really important. The location is great, and it's easy to access various forms of transportation. There's also a 7/11 just around the corner where you can buy essentials and a Myki card for public transport. We also did a tour and this hotel was one of the pick-up spots, so that was a massive bonus! Overall, the hotel had polite and helpful staff, was clean, well-located, and reasonably priced.
I stayed one night recently for a business trip. I arrived early and was able to store my luggage until my check in. The location was great, easy walk to all cafes and restaurants. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room was large and clean. My only issues were, I dont want to check in virtually, I would prefer to check into a hotel with a human. Also no complimentary bottles of water, please dont expect people to drink water from the tap. Bottled water should be a basic standard in every hotel. Breakfast was very ordinary, it was included in my booking, but if you had to pay extra, I wouldn't waste my money, there a great cafes around much cheaper and better options. Also my colleague that was also staying in the hotel ordered room service, but said you have to come down to reception to pick it up and then they called her back and said she could only have toasted sandwich, or order uber, which I find unacceptable. I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and unfortunately the standards have really dropped in Australia, its actually embarrassing. Overall I did enjoy my stay, and the location.
The location was great but that was the only positive. Mould in the bathroom, pillows that were best described as being ‘dead’, very limited supplies (tea coffee etc), no spare blanket etc. We had to chase up the cleaner to service the room. All in all, a budget hotel at a non budget price.
