I waited to be served at the bar behind a beautiful elderly lady. We both waited about 10 minutes. Bar staff were busy, that was fine. 2 blokes strolled in, pushed in front AND GOT SERVED RIGHT AWAY which was not ok!!! But the venue is pretty, the menu had great options and my Caesar salad was the BEST one I've ever had. Amazing. I'll defo order another next time I'm in Freo.

Pub was very good with amazing service. I went there for lunch today and got served by two lovely bartenders. (One of their names was Alexia I’m pretty sure). Chilli muscles were amazing and service was quick and friendly. 10/10

A great spot for a relaxed lunch, especially on weekends. We went in for lunch and caught their oyster special, which was fresh, well-presented, and excellent value. The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, and it’s an easy place to settle in and enjoy good food and a drink. There was a small hiccup with our reservation on arrival, but the staff handled it professionally and made sure we were looked after, which we appreciated. Overall, a solid experience with quality seafood and good service definitely worth a visit again.

Our first Aussie pub - straight off the plane, after checking into the Esplanade Hotel. It was a Monday night, so it the place was empty, but the bartender was really nice and interested in us (we were acclimatising to seeing a UK-style Christmas tree on a warm summer’s night- it was 25 degrees). Great, airy heritage building - just what we wanted. Beer (Swan) was cold and crisp. Kids had softies (Aussie Fanta tastes like European Fanta used to). No doubt the pub gets busy and full of atmosphere at normal times.

We celebrated my birthday at Sail and Anchor with around 20 friends, and the experience was absolutely fantastic thanks to Aleia. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive and helpful. She assisted us with all the set-up, made sure the cake was brought out perfectly, provided plates and spoons, and handled everything with such ease and professionalism. What really stood out was her permanent smile - she made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout the entire celebration. The food was also amazing - we ordered several pizzas, and the prosciutto pizza was definitely the standout. It was absolutely delicious! Thank you, Aleia, for making my birthday so special. We truly appreciated your kindness, energy, and dedication. We’ll definitely be back! 🎉
