520 Beaufort Street, Highgate Western Australia 6003, Australia
Pub
•Built in the 1880s, The Queens Tavern has been serving thirsty locals and alike for more than a century.
As one of Perth's oldest and popular pubs, we merge our beliefs of timeless style, good food, old-school service and great beer together to make every experience memorable.
Located in Highgate, we're a stone's throw away from the CBD, and from Banks Reserve on the Swan River. It'll take you three minutes to get to HBF Park, or even less to pay a visit to Hyde Park. We're centrally located on Beaufort Street, the perfect spot to experience the best of Perth and its surroundings.
Our Queens Restaurant is our full table service offering and our menu boasts ingredients that celebrate our local producers, with succulent steaks, fresh seafood and pub favourites taken to the next level. Grab your family and friends and settle in, or head to our bar, where you can look our over the bustling Beaufort Street from our balcony. If you're looking for an easy after work beer, a Friday night meeting place or a family dinner, we're the local for you.
Lovely outdoor area, would’ve sat at one of the booths, however tables hadn’t been cleared. Plenty of other choices. Food very tasty and big serves. Staff lovely. Toilets smelt as you walked past them. Would come back to eat again.
Unfortunately the food here missed the mark. The menu was limited and was missing a lot of pub favourites when it comes to eating at a tavern. It seemed like an Italian fusion menu but was lacking in range, flavour and creativity. Service was lovely and the free olives were a nice touch, but unfortunately the food and menu was the major let down for us.
This is a great place for a Sunday bevy or two. The atmosphere is cheerful and vibrant and busy. If you have a big group I'd suggest booking a table otherwise you'd be lucky to find a seat outdoors. There is seating inside which is limited unless you want to sit in the restaurant. The drinks are many, so is likely to have your fave or at least something close to it. The bar snacks are absolutely beautiful. It might pay you to look at the menu rather than trust the QR Code Menu cos most times I've found they're different and your not offered what is on the actual menu...this includes drinks as well. That's a bit inconvenient but if you're happy with what you're presented online, Order from the QR Code. Service is great and good doesn't take long despite how busy it gets. If you're gay, there are many gay men that frequent the place. From about 3pm they have a live DJ that plays some good music. Overall I recommend going here it is a great place for a Sunday vibe. The pic are of some dishes we've ordered over the many Sunday afternoons we've been there.
First of all, I would like to thank Sophia our waitress for looking after our table. Food was great, but unfortunately we had to wait awhile for our meal. The photos don’t do the meals justice, sorry about that.
We are regulars and have always enjoyed meals at the Queens but lately the meals have gone from good to amazing! Is there a new chef ? What ever it is ...keep doing what your doing ! Steaks never fail to impress and the Beef Cheek Pasta Ragu tonight was delicious 😋 the pork cutlet is really good too ! Sat by the fire 🔥 perfect atmosphere and nice wines 🍷
