Definitely not a 4 star hotel more like a 2 star, it’s run-down, facilities are very old and smelly. I would not stay here again or recommend this place who has the expectation of a 4 star. Not recommended for families. Location to Perth train station and getting around in the city is great but it also means that there are many drunks and people on drugs day and night. There’s a TAB gambling place right next door and the people who hang around the front can make you feel uncomfortable, especially for children. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the room was the strongest smelling air freshener which was obviously used to mask the underlying smell of the whole place, which smelt like a greasy takeaway restaurant. Like many other reviews, there’s: - mould in the washing machine and the dishwasher. - toilet roll holder leans so the toilet paper always falls onto the ground. - creaking fan that’s so loud you can’t sleep. - windows aren’t soundproof so you can hear the neighbours. - both elevators made a clanking noise, one was shut down for service. - fridge smelt like cat food. - the room shakes every time the neighbour shuts their door. The staff were polite. However, when I reported a noise complaint it was a female staff working at midnight by herself which I then felt worried about her safety at such a large hotel with so many issues that could go wrong. Management should do better for their staff’s wellbeing and I disagree that this hotel should be listed as a 4 star and should be reviewed.
I had an emergency and needed a second key card to access the room I was staying in with my friend and colleague so I could take my medication. However, the receptionists and manager refused to allow me up, insisting that my friend had to register me first. I even offered to have them accompany me, but they still refused to assist. They acted like robots, simply following orders without considering the situation with any humanity or flexibility.
Three star at best! Adina is listed as a 4 star hotel, however it certainly isn’t… 3 star at best! It’s important for anyone who is going to book at this hotel to understand the condition of the rooms and facilities. I’ll start with positives - excellent location, well appointed apartment (washing machine, dryer, good kitchen appliances) with access to gym and pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful - although I reckon it’s because they have to try so hard to please guests in such a run down hotel. Negatives - the hotel is very run down (and dirty)! Per the photos, the carpet is old and sticky, various parts of the room had duct tape (holding aircon together and between bathroom and lounge), PowerPoint was falling out, the lights flickered in the main bedroom, the aircon kept turning off and furnishings were very worn out. During our stay, the lift broke, the dishwasher leaked and we had about 12 room keys (as they didn’t work) and the fan had to be serviced. The other thing to note is the apartment states its air-conditioned but only the living room (with one vent in a bedroom that doesn’t work and another bedroom without it entirely). Reception offered a stand fan to cool bedroom (leaving bedroom door open and blasting cold air via living room into the bedroom). Also the foyer has a very strong odour which we all found quite unpleasant. Overall, if you’re after a 3 star hotel and can accept the poor condition, this may be good value for money. However if you’re booking with the expectation the rooms are clean, modern and good condition it’s not a great option. I wouldn’t stay again as there better options nearby. Quite a disappointing experience.
Our apartment had everything we needed. The staff on the front desk were very friendly. Would book again if travelling.
I stayed here for 1 night and had to eventually change hotels because of how unhygienic the room was. 1. There were moths flying around and I hadn’t open any window which was weird, wasn’t sure how it got in 2. My toilet was not cleaned. It had something in it wasn’t sure what it was and didn’t even bother going bathroom at all for the rest of the night lol 3. My shower was dirty, I spent so much time cleaning the bathroom just so that I could at least take a shower 4. The bedside table had soooo much dust like it was an actual joke. My allergies played up the whole night and I could get much sleep because there was dust literally everywhere near and on bed 5. Overall I just felt like everything wasn’t cleaned so I cleaned it myself and still felt like I couldn’t stay another night so we ended up moving to. Different hotel which thank goodness because even outside the hotel if we went for a walk, it seemed a bit scary with people just walking around drinking a full bottle of wine whilst walking and just harassing people walking by so yeah definitely wouldn’t recommend
