Really nice staff, room was alright and had everything you needed. Lots of people smoking on the level I stayed on and the smell came through the vent in my bathroom. Very upsetting. Also the wifi is only free for one day...it's 2022, really? Parking costs $30 but I was able to find street parking that was free overnight nearby (10min walk)
Good price and comfy bed. Staff polite. Needs maintenance as paint is peeling and some bathroom fittings rusty. Air con a bit noisy, room spacious. Would have been better if we had a room with a view.
The only hotel with reasonable price with balcony in the city. Location is perfect, free cat bus stop is just one step out of the reception, the bed is comfortable enough and soundproof room from the street noise. Even though it’s 4 stars hotel, the staff there are 5 stars. Specially thank you to Thomas who was in the reception, he tried his best to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Definitely will come back if I need to stay in the city.
The hotel is in a very good location and walking distance to most things- but there is always the free Red CAT bus at the doorstep. Staff are friendly and helpful which is always good. The rooms have been refurbished and are comfortable with the beds being especially so. However with one desk chair and an Ottoman it is hard to sit an relax and have a drink or just read. A comfortable chair would be welcome. However one good thing is the Internet access and the number of power points. The bathroom was OK but a little tired. The rubber bath mat had seen better days and probably housed a population of who know what. The restaurant provides a breakfast at basic, Continental and Full. Prices are OK and a visit to a nearby cafe saw us pay about the same price for a full breakfast once juice and coffee was added. Dinner is also served and whilst not flash is tasty and not expensive. All in all the acid test, would I stay again? Certainly.
As far as a hotel goes, it has what you need for a short stay. 1-2 nights. The room was reasonably clean, and the bed was fairly comfortable. Out of all the staff we interacted with all were nice and welcoming except one, who seemed arrogant. However; The $100 bond was NOT returned within a reasonable time. It wasn't returned upon check-out like every other hotel we've been to. (Actually still waiting for it) The restaurant was not worth while for breakfast as it was the extreme basics and cost $20. We ended up going elsewhere. Paying $30 a night for parking seemed a bit much. The air-conditioning in our room wasn't adjustable every attempt to change it from 22° didn't work. It was too stuffy for a day the reached over 34°
