•Riverland Bar is the original waterfront icon in Melbourne where you can escape the daily grind in our urban beer garden hideaway. This iconic venue is situated on the banks of the Yarra in the historic Federation Wharf vaults, just below Federation Square.
Our year-round outdoor venue is the ideal spot for beers and bites while soaking up the sun in summer or basking under the heaters and warming up with one of our winter cocktails in the cooler months. The perfect place to grab a few drinks with friends and colleagues.
Riverland Bar provides a relaxed warm atmosphere where people can enjoy the company of friends or grab a quick drink and BBQ sausage before the game.

If your looking for a laid back bar along the water to have some drinks and food then this is it. Premium location, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. We had a bunch in different shared plates as well as a few pizza's. The pizza is actually a highlight, wood fired crispy base with good quality ingredients. All of the shared plates were tasty, the calamari had a light batter that was delicious. Try the margaritas.
I recently visited Riverland Bar with a group of friends on a busy Thursday evening, and the overall experience was fantastic. The place was packed, likely due to the warm weather drawing people outdoors. Riverland operates on a booking system, and I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, especially if you're visiting with a larger group. Without a booking, it can be challenging to secure a table, given how popular this spot is. The venue itself is spacious, with plenty of seating and a lively atmosphere. The music was loud and upbeat, which added to the energetic vibe of the evening. It's a great place for socializing and enjoying a vibrant, dynamic setting. Now onto the highlight of the visit—the food. We ordered several items from the menu, and everything was absolutely delicious. We started with the Beetroot Hummus, which was beautifully presented and paired perfectly with the house-made flatbread. The flavors were fresh and satisfying. The Disco Bravas were another standout. The crispy fried potatoes came with a flavorful mix of romesco sauce, salsa verde, cheese sauce, and pickles, creating an indulgent and well-balanced dish that everyone enjoyed. For mains, I opted for the Plant-Based Burger, which was a delight. The patty was perfectly cooked, and the combination of the potato bun, beetroot relish, rocket, and vegan aioli was packed with flavor. It's a great choice for anyone looking for a vegetarian or vegan option. We also ordered the Funghi Pizza, and it was exceptional. Topped with bechamel, cheese, sautéed mushrooms, rocket, and truffle oil, it was rich, aromatic, and full of earthy flavors. The crust was thin and crispy, just as it should be. To share, we added a side of Chips with ketchup, and even this simple dish was well-prepared—crispy, golden, and satisfying. Overall, the food at Riverland Bar exceeded our expectations. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted and delicious. Combined with the lively ambiance and efficient service, it made for a memorable evening. I’d highly recommend this spot, but do remember to book in advance to avoid disappointment!
Lovely casual venue on the banks of the Yarra, with a great view and relaxed atmosphere. Service was good and food came to the table really quickly, despite being quite busy. Weekend surcharge is 10% and my cocktail was quite small with LoTs of ice.
Bottomless Brunch. Food was great no complaints there and Brian was a fabulous host. Except I am disappointed that the ‘spritz’ were an absolute scam. We paid $65 for bottomless drink and food in a 2hr sitting. I actually blew in my breathalyser after we left I was 0.00 - interesting for a person who had supposedly share 8-10 jugs of ‘spritz’ with friend. I won’t be back & I don’t recommend.
It's a lovely spot to catch-up with friends over food and/or drinks. Visited on a weekday and tried their $22 lunch special and decided to revisit with another friend within the same week! Love the atmosphere, very Melbourne being right next to the yarra. Delicious regular tequila. Good chips. Good portions! Friendly service. Some tables have QR codes so you can order straight from your table and pay separately. Some tables don't have codes but you can make your order separately at the bar area anyway.
