Beyond disappointing and frankly unacceptable for the price This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time, especially for a place charging premium prices and presenting itself as a premium Italian restaurant. Beer: Ordered a Peroni, served in a Moretti glass. It’s a small detail, but it sets the tone, careless and lacking basic attention to detail. Beef carpaccio: Completely ruined by excessive salt. Every bite had an actual crunch salt from it. Not seasoning!!! just sloppy. Seafood linguine: Uses packet pasta. At this price point, that’s borderline insulting for being Italian Resturant! There was nothing fresh or refined about it. Octopus entrée: The texture was just bizarre, overly soft to the point it felt processed, almost like fish paste. Definitely not taste like proper octopus. Lasagna: Arrived cold in the centre. Not “slightly underheated” — genuinely cold. That should never leave the kitchen. Cleanliness: The table was sticky and had a noticeable unpleasant smell, like a dirty kitchen bench. Completely off-putting. For a restaurant charging premium prices, this was a complete miss on every level!!!! food, quality control, and basic hygiene. It feels like corners are being cut everywhere. Would not recommend. There are far better places to spend your money.

I had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes just to receive a drink, which is completely unacceptable. Throughout this time, the manager’s attitude made it feel as though our order simply did not matter. The most frustrating part was the lack of basic courtesy and accountability. While the owner did eventually apologise, it does not excuse the fact that single tables deserve the same level of service as any other guest. In the end, I left without ever receiving a meal. For an establishment of this calibre, the service delivery and professionalism were extremely poor. Long wait times, dismissive, arrogant and young management, with a lack of respect for customers made this experience genuinely unpleasant. Not worth your time, give this place a miss. This was a week long holiday in Brisbane ended with a disappointing experience. I would greatly recommend La Dolce vita Ristorante they extremely busy serve great food and offer amazing service. Gusto Da Gianni . Portside Hamilton. Gianni your wonderful Italian Restaurant had every element that I love about my heritage.. Warmth good food, wine, staff and music. I was allowed bring my own and the amazingly calm and only to happy to help Christian supplied the speaker when mine proved to be inadequate. Gianni from the moment I walked into your restaurant Giuseppe and Christian assisted me to bring alive the atmosphere and scene for my Stitch Event. To say my guests were impressed and enjoyed the Event at Gianni Da Gusto is an under statement. We laughed we enjoyed wonderful food an wine. We even attempted to dance. This time I almost brought to life my vision for The Stitch Event at Gusto Da Gianni. I will come in personally to discuss on how we improve the next one later in the year. Wow! Was craving some Italian and found this one placed whilst walking past. Amazing food. The lasagna was awesome. Great selection of wine. The best place n the area. Service from the manager was perfect.

The food, the amazing friendly staff and the venue was all incredible. We were all overly impressed with this spot. Thank you also for going above and beyond for a birthday celebration.
