Nothing heals a rainy Sunday quite like a roast… and The Crown in Windsor understood the assignment. Light, fresh dining room, lovely service, and a pork roast so good I briefly considered ordering a second “for balance.” Washed it down with a crisp pint like a responsible adult, then absolutely demolished their tiramisu — purely for research purposes. 10/10 would let Sunday roast ruin my productivity again. 👏👏👏

I was really impressed with the Crown Hotel in Lutwyche. It’s been around forever, but the recent renovation has totally brought it back to life. You still get that old-school charm but now it’s got a fresh, modern vibe that works really well. The beer garden is awesome: spacious, leafy, and perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon. There’s a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, and the layout feels open but still cozy. You can tell they’ve put thought into the design without making it feel overdone. The food surprised me in the best way. It’s classic pub grub but done properly. The menu has a good variety, including vegan and gluten-free options, which is great to see. It’s the kind of place where everyone at the table can find something they’re happy with. The staff were friendly and down to earth, which always makes a big difference. We didn’t have to wait long for anything, and even when it got busy, service still felt smooth and relaxed. All in all, it’s a solid local that’s had a really nice upgrade. Whether you’re catching up with friends over a few drinks, grabbing a casual meal or watching the footy in the bar, it’s just an easy place to enjoy yourself. I’ll definitely be back. My go-to place to watch the UFC. I booked a table that morning for the UFC and was able to be seated inside. The area they allocated me was great! I hope they will continue to make this space available. Staff are amazing, great service, nothing is too much and the Sunday Roast was delicious.

Have had dinner here twice. The Parmi's are great, good sized meals & well priced. It's a beautiful, relaxed pub. Highly recommend. And I'm from Adelaide.

Christmas Day lunch 2025. Was asked to provide feedback to the Crown Hotel privately which I did and have received no response so am posting a Google review …. Very confusing… original booking was 12 till 2 pm then when I rang to check was told lunch was at 1230. Confirmation email the day before said the same thing. Why? The beverage package finished at 2 pm which means that we only had an hour and a half of our beverage package, not 2 hours so feel really ripped off. I think that this could’ve been communicated much better. Happy enough with the food and staff were very pleasant. Long queues and long wait for food that needing replenishing. Also disappointing that we had a table for six and it was only set for four people. You need to do something about the sun coming in. It was very hot and we tried to organise for umbrellas to be put outside and not allowed to even though the staff were happy to help. I don’t think I would come back for Christmas Day lunch again.
