The Grand Hall
The Grand Hall at Ovolo The Valley is as stunning as the name suggests; a ballroom-style venue designed to flex seamlessly between conferences, gala dinners, cocktail celebrations and large-scale corporate events. With the ability to accommodate a wide range of capacities and seating styles, the space can be configured for theatre, banquet, cabaret, classroom or cocktail-style events with ease.
Equipped with integrated AV capabilities and plenty of room for staging, presentations and entertainment, The Grand Hall is built to handle everything from polished conferences to high-energy celebrations. The space features striking Victorian-inspired wall panelling paired with monochromatic tropical murals, bringing Ovolo’s signature personality into a highly functional event setting.
For larger guest numbers or multi-space events, The Grand Hall can also be combined with The Games Room to create an expanded event footprint.

Fabulous the Ovolo is a very unique boutique hotel inspired by music , art and fashion . Fun bold colours lots of quirky details who could resist the Candy bar? The rooms are bright, spacious very clean and the beds very comfortable. There is a roof top bar , pools and gym, though we didn’t use it this time. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is located in a great location near James Streets Restaurants and boutiques. Highly recommended. We loved our stay .

A beautiful and stylish hotel with a luxurious atmosphere. The room was spacious, modern, and beautifully decorated, with high-quality amenities and thoughtful touches. The location is also excellent, making it easy to walk into the city and explore Brisbane. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Perfection personified! Probably the greatest hotel staff I’ve met in a while; fun, friendly, nothing is too much trouble. An easy 600m from James St precinct and a bunch of great hospo right on your doorstep. Our room was sunny and spacious. Forgot to check out the rooftop pool and bar. Next time!

Ovolo The Valley on Ann Street is a quirky and eclectic boutique hotel with plenty of personality. The design is fun and distinctive, very much its own style, which makes it feel different from the usual chain hotels. The service was great throughout the stay – friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. My room was spacious and comfortable, though it’s starting to feel like it could use a little refreshing in places. Nothing major, just some small updates would lift it further. The location is another big plus, with easy access to nearby restaurant and dining areas. Being close to the Gasworks Precinct was especially handy, with plenty of great food and coffee options within a short walk. A tip when booking: try to choose a room that doesn’t overlook the main road. The room I stayed in was very quiet, which made a big difference to the overall experience. The bed was comfortable, perhaps a little on the firm side, but still perfectly acceptable and I slept well. Overall, a character-filled hotel in a great Fortitude Valley location, with excellent service and a relaxed, fun vibe. I’d happily stay again.

Great location, beautiful hotel design, and lovely staff. The lolly bar and iced tea in the foyer is a nice touch. Unfortunately, a few things let the stay down. I called the day before arrival to request a room upgrade with a bath and was told that would be fine, I paid for the upgrade. I was under the impression that we would be upgraded to a king spa room, however when we arrived there was no spa bath. When I asked if we could be moved, I was told that wasn’t possible. I also ordered room service online for an 8:15pm delivery as we’re heading out, but it arrived almost two hours early, just as we were about to leave the hotel. It was frustrating that the delivery time I selected wasn’t taken into consideration. The food was incredible though. Another disappointment was the TV setup. If you want to watch a movie, you need to cast it from your phone. Unfortunately, the Chromecast wouldn’t work. Reception kindly came up to assist, but the issue was clearly with the hotel’s system rather than my phone, and it still couldn’t be resolved. Overall, there were some lovely touches and great staff, but for a hotel of this standard, these were fairly basic expectations that weren’t met. For our one-night stay in Brisbane with my daughters, it was a bit of a letdown, which is why I’ve rated it 3 stars.
