Offering guests a Magnifique event space, Ballroom Le Grand is currently the largest ballroom available within a Brisbane-based hotel. This grand space is entirely pillarless incorporating an impressive 6.5-meter high ceiling, 18m LED Screen, retractable dividing walls, fully ducted AC, integrated audio-visual displays, and dynamic interactive lighting which can be adjusted to guest specifications. Our Superior facility has hosted a variety of grand events from Gala dinners to international business conferences and can be arranged to suit a variety of theming options. We stayed in a Cityscape room at Sofitel Central for 7 nights and would totally recommend, based on our experiences. After an early morning flight we arrived at the hotel hours before our due check-in: staff were delightfully welcoming and gave us access to our room immediately. This was very much appreciated as we’d were extremely tired. After a short rest we were able to explore and find our bearings in what was a first visit to the city. Door staff were consistently lovely in their efforts to help with transport on arriving and leaving the premises. And a big shout out to Liv who served us coffee and croissants each morning: she was particularly welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent! Everything is a short walk: good restaurants and cafes; Queen Street Mall with its high end retail and the stylish South Bank with its museums and theatres. And if you need an extra pillow or a blanket (as we did) it was promptly delivered after a brief request. We would return to Sofitel in a heartbeat🥂

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Ivan at Sofitel Brisbane Central for his outstanding service. After I accidentally left my daughter’s iPhone in my room, Ivan went above and beyond to help locate it. He was extremely professional, responsive, and proactive throughout the entire process. He not only helped confirm the phone’s location but also coordinated with an Uber driver to ensure it was delivered to Brisbane Airport before my departure. His dedication, attention to detail, and willingness to help turned what could have been a very stressful situation into a smooth and positive experience. This level of customer service is truly exceptional and reflects very well on Sofitel Brisbane Central. Thank you again, Ivan, for your kindness and outstanding assistance. You made a huge difference, and I am incredibly grateful. Highly recommended!

Sofitel Brisbane Central is brilliantly located right over Brisbane Central Station. A quick ride down in a lift and escalator and you are right on the platform at the railway station. A short walk through the subway to Queensland St Mall. The hotel has a beautiful inviting lobby and (mostly) excellent and attentive staff. The breakfast buffet is the best I have ever experienced. The room was adequate but, very dated. The worst features were the very difficult to control air conditioning analogue control and the shower over the bath. Everything worked but very 80’s in design and style. The night dining was terrible. On our first night we decided to try the restaurant. It started ok. We were seated and then waited and waited and waited. Nobody even came to offer water or a drink. In the end, we walked out, went to our room and ordered Uber Eats. The restaurant really did not look busy. Overall, we were happy with our stay. To be honest, I would stay again. Loved the location and breakfast. In context, we are members af ALL, have been for over 20 years. Over the last 3months, I have needed to visit Brisbane for sometimes extended periods for medical treatment. From November 2025 until February 2026, I have stayed at several Accor hotels. Sofitel Brisbane Central rates about second or third after FV by Peppers in Fortitude Valley.

Stay here when I can for work. Love the experience and the food at Suzette. Food was great, love the eye fillet and thought I would spoil myself and got the crème caramel. That dish is huge and so tasty had to send it to my room to finish it off next day 😋

I’m here for a conference. I arrived in Brisbane the same day prior to the conference and still made it on time. It’s extremely easy to get to from the airport via the airtrain as it is connected to the central station. Check in was easy. Staff were very helpful. I left my belongings in the morning and then my belongings were sent to my room afterwards. I got given a pleasant upgrade to a high floor and great view. Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience. Will definitely return next time! PS the bed is so nice!
