The staff here are absolute gems—reception, the bar crew, and the breakfast team are top-tier. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness felt like I was participating in a budget reality TV challenge. My first room came pre-loaded with someone else’s hair collection across the vanity and bath, a massive greasy handprint on the shower screen, dusty glasses, and a mysteriously sticky phone. Reception was super empathetic, but with no spare rooms available, they sent housekeeping to reclean. Sadly, the hair and handprint survived the effort, and while hunting for a power outlet, I discovered a rogue toenail clipping and a disturbing amount of shed skin tucked between the nightstand and the bed. Day two brought a room change and new mysteries: the alarm clock was stuffed upside-down in a dusty web of cables under the table, and the mouldy sealant around the tub meant my plans for a relaxing soak were officially canceled. Deciding ignorance was bliss, I stopped inspecting the room and just spent as little time in it as possible. When I brought this all this up after checkout, the staff agreed it wasn't great and advised me to ""If you do decide to stay with us, I would personally oversee your reservation and ensure your room is thoroughly checked and prepared prior to your arrival. While I appreciate the honesty, it doesn't exactly scream confidence in the standard cleaning routine. It’s a real shame because I’ve stayed here at least five times before and always had fantastic experiences, but standards have definitely slipped. I’ve already booked a different hotel for my upcoming trip, though I’ll probably still sneak back in just for the breakfast buffet—which, credit where it's due, remains one of the absolute best in Australia. Hopefully, management can give housekeeping the resources and auditing they need to bring the rooms back up to the high standard of their front-of-house team.

I came to Australia and Brisbane for the first time all the way from Dubai and I would like to make a special mention to Sanjukhta for making my stay and experience superb. She was so helpful and understanding, after a 14.5 hour flight where I was exhausted she helped me check in early to get some rest and made sure each and every aspect of my stay was exceptionally good. We are used to the very best of service in the uae and pride ourselves on that, she has represented the brand so well and deserves recognition for her exceptional service. The hotel location is also very central and with everything nearby. The breakfast was also of high quality and with plenty of options Constructive feedback for the hotel management the rooms are quite outdated and could do with a refurb & no option of bidet/muslim shower in the restrooms as is common in south east Asia, the Middle East & North Africa.

Great location, very central and convenient. Unfortunately this is all I can compliment the hotel for. As a 5 star hotel, one expects a certain level of customer service and professionalism that was entirely absent from my experience at Sofitel. The receptionist checkin me in seemed to not be aware of check in processes and required my prompting her to proceed with check in. I requested my suit to be drycleaned/steamed in preparation for an event the following day. When I went to pick up the suit, the reception staff weren’t aware that I had even given my suit in. I had to painstakingly prompt them through all the steps in the process (is it with housekeeping? Is it with the external dry cleaning company? Could it have not been handed to the external dry cleaning company?) and eventually discovered that my suit was just sitting behind reception, not even sent for dry cleaning. To this the reception staff asked me why I hadnt prepared a spare outfit in case something were to happen to this one. Only after some insistence did I receive some compensation. Generally poor communication between team members. Does not inspire confidence in the guest and creates unnecessary stress. Rooms were decent, but dark and antiquated, amenities were barebones. Unless absolutely necessary I would recommend guests stay elsewhere. Very disappointing.

I’m here for a conference. I arrived in Brisbane the same day prior to the conference and still made it on time. It’s extremely easy to get to from the airport via the airtrain as it is connected to the central station. Check in was easy. Staff were very helpful. I left my belongings in the morning and then my belongings were sent to my room afterwards. I got given a pleasant upgrade to a high floor and great view. Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience. Will definitely return next time! PS the bed is so nice!

I had a great stay at the Sofitel Brisbane. I attended a conference there and it was catered for well, the room was set up well for conference and again for the after party. Staff at reception for check in and check out covered everything about my stay and were very friendly. The hallways leading to your room greet you with a lovely fragrance. My room was very comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. The Nespresso Coffee Pod machine was great to have. The whole hotel is beautifully presented. Thank you
