Well that was an expensive disappointment. We used to frequent this place when we were locals ((7 odd years ago) and the pizza was AMAZING. Only the best ingredients were used. The salami, h and prosciutto were clearly top quality. The Parmesan, freshly shaved and made with all the love you could want. We were super excited when the opportunity came up to bring the kids to Mum n Dads favourite pizza pizza place to cap off what had been a great weekend. The place is as we remembered, beautiful. But the dough had WAY TOO MUCH flour dumped on it, causing the crust to taste like I was shoveling a teaspoon of flour into every bite. I’m really not sure what they did to the rocket but it tasted like soggy frozen spinach instead of bringing the fresh bitterness you expect in a rocket n prosciutto pizza. Something tasted like Devon on our carnivore pizza which was properly weird and unexpired and th rest of the ingredients presented and tasted they were straight off the shelf from Aldi (not knocking Aldi, just not what I want from this place) The real killer was the Parmesan from a can. My wife and I tried it several times and unfortunately we were positive that was not real Parmesan. The kids rated their dinner for what it’s worth 🤷🏻♂️ The low rating on atmosphere was due to the dude beside us who decided it was appropriate to tear shreds out of his father for half an hour with some extremely colourful and aggressive language with no one putting a stop to it. I cannot tell you how sad and disappointed we were. I don’t wanna run the place down, but without honest feedback they have no opportunity to improve, and I hope they want to improve because this place was once very special!!!

First time ordering from the royal, unfortunately the food was below subpar. First came the Pina Colada that tasted like straight vodka and lime juice. No pineapple taste, paid $20 for that and had two sips and left the rest. My sister had a lemon lime and bitters which she said had way too much lime also. Sister ordered a spaghetti bolognaise which she couldn't eat as it lacked flavour and was watery, was making her feel sick, it was a kids option though. She also ordered a ceaser salad, she had a bite or two of her and said it was flavourless and didn't realise that it didnt come with bacon as most traditional ceasers do. So another meal wasted. I ordered the chicken main which was around $32 and the chicken was all gristle, the flavour on the chargrill was nice but unfortunately it was also inedible, no meat at all. The potato's were extremely dry, the sauce was watery and tasteless. The carrots were coated in a thick flavourless crumb mix which was not pleasant. We both spent over the $100 mark combined on food and drink and left to eat elsewhere as we couldn't finish anything. The table was also dirty and no one offered to clean it. The only upside was that the service staff were lovely. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

Calling it, best pizza i've ever had. The prosciutto pizza must have had truffle oil on it too it was sooooo tasty. I tip my hat to the chef. 👌🤌

We regularly dine, or attend events, at the Royal. Today I was surprised to receive a half cocktail. It was my usual drink, so I know it pretty well and it’s done nicely, never had a bad one anywhere. The only issue was that the tide was way out. Never received one like this. Apparently it was the right volume of 120mls, they just ran out of ice cubes. Just didn’t look right. But hey…first world problems

68 times in a row now i have lost on your pokie machines there is no doubt in my mind there cooked they need looking at something suspicious going on its not possible to lose 68 times in a row tried all different hours of the day it doesn't matter we are talking big money now fed into your machines by quite alot of people and nothing a matter of fact they have lost so bad they have all quit lol 😆 playing them due to your horrendous pay back percentages I only see this venues pokie room becoming more and more quieter in there until the doors get closed because game play is horrendous. Those late nights used to be packed great atmosphere not now. But anyways just always remember greed will not help in the long run all the best.
