Hit & Miss. We came for our annniversary and my wife’s birthday. The start was the boat ride which was wonderful , but over an hour wait is too long. Check in is very slick. The room was nice and we slept well, but one curtain was 8” too short 🤦‍♂️ and one sun bed was ripped but straight onto the lawn and beach. Evening one meal at the pacific was average with my food not ordered and then when I tried ro order it was 45 mins. We ended up eating separately and they refunded my meal. Evening two was paradise beach dinner $700 option with slow food, two tables complaining and dry prawns and over cooked a steak. I request for a birthday uplift for my wife that was was not carried out. Again the refunded around $175 on this experience. Evening three at Bam Bam was great and they made good on the birthday moment. Also two free drinks each. Hayman is a beautiful resort but the kitchens let it down and it’s a little tired around the edges. The ride back was great as we saw lots of whales. We may return to try and see if it improves.

This place is 10/10. We got a great deal on luxury escapes which had a lot of inclusions and to top it all off they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite which was just incredible. All of the staff were incredibly lovely, although there were some gaps in service that comes with the territory of transient workers. That aside, we thought it was very luxurious and great value for money. The island itself is beautiful and very relaxing. We went with our 9 month baby and it was very baby friendly.

As a local of Airlie Beach, I’ve spent years exploring many of the islands and resorts throughout the Whitsundays, and Hayman Island stands out as the best of them all. The level of service from the staff was exceptional from start to finish. Every interaction felt genuine, professional, and attentive. The food was outstanding, with a fantastic variety of high-quality dining options, and the rooms and resort facilities were beautifully maintained and presented. What really sets Hayman apart is the incredible attention to detail in every aspect of the guest experience. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear that no expense has been spared in creating a world-class resort. If you’re considering a Whitsundays getaway and wondering which resort to choose, Hayman Island will not disappoint. It truly delivers a luxury experience that exceeds expectations

Room nice and the location is amazing. We met some great families and many of the kids working here are charming. I had trouble getting my room cleaned for our first two days. Also the Thai and Italian restaurants are the best for dinner. Don’t go to Pacific Restaurant for dinner. The service there is lovely but the steaks and chicken are genuinely horrible. We all tried each other’s dishes to see whose was the worse. If you must go there choose the fish or lamb.

We visited this resort with our family before the arrival of our new baby and left extremely disappointed. The resort markets itself as a luxury 5-star destination, but the reality was far from it. Every meal was significantly overpriced, service was consistently poor, and our food orders were frequently delivered incorrectly. When issues were raised, staff showed little interest in resolving them and appeared to lack basic hospitality training. The only standout dining experience was Bang Bang, and Lime was the only staff member we encountered who consistently provided genuine, professional service. The only reason for the second star Throughout our stay, everything felt like a money grab. Almost every activity, service, or convenience came with an additional charge, making what was already an expensive holiday feel even more excessive. Our room was dated and in need of refurbishment, and the ponds around the property were dirty and poorly maintained, which detracted from the overall atmosphere. This is not a 5-star resort by any reasonable standard, despite charging 5-star prices. Unfortunately, we left feeling that the experience did not come close to matching the cost.
