The staff at the Metropolitan Hotel were exceptionally kind, friendly, and accommodating. The accommodation is extremely clean and comfortable; we will definitely be returning. No problem is too big for them to handle. The kids loved playing on the round pool table, making it a very family-friendly environment for children of all ages. We highly recommend the accommodation. The manager on duty tonight, Shazza, deserves 100% praise. We need more people like those here in the world. Well done to everyone at the Metropolitan Hotel for the great team effort.

We had our private function in The Bistro and couldn't have been happier with The Met as a venue. Staff are organised, willing to assist you and give great advice. Food platters are huge and fresh. Shout out to Heather, the event planner for helping us every step of the way. 100% would book again!

Stayed here for one night after getting in from the airport, and overall it was a decent place. Didn’t use the in-house bar or dining features so can’t comment on those. The bed was comfortable and spacious, the only gripe I had with the bed was that it was on 4 wheels so it didn’t take much at all to move the bed away from the wall, so watching tv while sitting up in the bed was a bit of a challenge. Bathroom was tidy and clean, shower was quite good for the tall folks like me. 😁 AC worked fine. Location was one where there’s not much of a view, but it was convenient to shops and other amenities. One concern I had about the room security was that there wasn’t a secondary latch on the door. Some people may feel comfortable with a deadbolt or a security door guard (chain or metal). The door key was a specialty key so that helps to increase security though. For me, no issues and would be happy to stay there again.

Visited on a Tuesday night, nice clean Bistro. Our meal way okay but despite telling the lady taking orders three times i wanted mash potatoes and vegetables we still ended up with one meal chips and salad and wrong drinks. Parma and schnitzel were dry.

Stayed over night on our road trip from Brisbane to mareeba. Really nice room, good beds and bathroom with kitchen and lounge room. For dinner we went downstairs to the pub and had steak and parmy, kids had a really good spagetti. They even have a round pool table
