We recently stayed at Mercure Newcastle for a couple of nights as a family and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The location is very convenient and central. It’s within easy walking distance to the main shopping centre (including Coles), and also close to the marina and wharf area, which made it great for relaxing strolls and dining options nearby. The hotel has all the facilities you would expect, including an on-site restaurant. We had dinner there one evening and the meals were good quality and well presented, although the prices were a little on the expensive side compared to other nearby options. The breakfast buffet was available during our stay, but it was quite basic with limited variety. It was sufficient to start the day, though we felt there could be more options for the price charged. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay in a good location, and we would consider staying again when visiting Newcastle.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend Mercure Newcastle. My husband and I stayed for a much-needed weekend getaway our first since having our son and it was such a lovely experience. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond. We were welcomed with a platter of sweets, a complimentary bottle of bubbles, chocolates, water, and a beautiful card with a heartfelt message from the staff. It truly made us feel special and well looked after. All staff were friendly, approachable, and consistently welcoming throughout our stay. The location is fantastic, with restaurants, nightlife, and the waterfront all within easy walking distance. We also highly recommend the Drive & Stay package, which included parking and prepaid breakfast each morning so convenient. We enjoyed the pool as well, which was perfect on a hot day. Thank you to the wonderful team at Mercure Newcastle for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be returning. 😊💕

We booked the room by letting them know we need room for couple. Guess what they joined 2 single beds. We reached there around 11pm and reason we booked was to have good rest at night to continue our next morning long drive. Bed kept splitting whole night. Adjusted couple of times but ended up having sleepless night. When checking out I told the receptionist that they joined 2 single beds and her answer was did it keep splitting? So they know that this is an issue and her answer was I will let the staff know and started doing her work. Not sure how many suffered from this but when you have paid to have good rest you deserve better not sore back next morning. I wanted to let the manager know but it was almost midnight and we were there for 8-9hrs only and changing room checking in and out of room was bit of hassle and we drove for 10hrs and were too tired. This is not what you expect. Just add bit more construction noise starts at 7am. Best alarm to wake you up.

We had a wonderful time at Mecure Newcastle. We decided last minute to go abd an so glad we chose there. They were very accommodating for our needs as a daily with two rooms that were interconnecting. Both rooms were lovely abd very comfortable. Having plates, cups and cutlery available was very helpful for our needs. The buffet breakfast did not disappoint and ticked all the boxes. Thank you for looking after us so well. We really enjoyed our stay!

Everything was standard, good, but I was disappointed by no room service menu options when I was there. The physical menu in-room didn't match what was available on the app - nothing much was available at all, so I never ordered. Would have loved a Kevin McAllister style experience of having hotel room service -- especially in a foreign country, Australia no less. Otherwise all good. Friendly staff, non-evasive. TV channels good, music. Enjoyed the cracking storm from the large windows before leaving on the morning of check-out.
