Not somewhere I have gone frequently, but I will. Beautifully renovated with tasteful decor. Great food selections. After show Sat night- We tried a pizza- Njuda- spicy pork! Delicious. Just wanted a quick meal. Service was very attentive. Only issue we had was that the DJ music was just too loud to have a conversation- but great music. For me having a Peroni in a tall glass is perfect.👍
Great to find this classy Italian open lunch time on a Sunday. Most other places only open at 5pm. Great service. No wait on the food. Best dishes we had was the Garlic Pizza and the Buffalo mozzarella. Parking was quite easy too. Definitely a good time to come on a weekend.
Not one dish was a let down with the chefs selection menu offerings, full of flavour. Staff went above and beyond with the only hitch being a stale wine served. This was without hesitation replaced with a fresh bottle. Great menu and a great team.
My party of 5 had a grand old time here. Our table of 5 were there at least 2 hours - past the 1.5 hour allocation and we were not made to feel rushed or unwelcome at all. The restaurant seemed quite busy. The waitress was attentive, checked on us regularly (so I didn't have to worry about how to get attention to order another drink), and was patient with all of us, especially a friend who had a lot of questions about food and drinks, even bringing out a bottle for my friend to look at. The waitress seemed knowledgeable about food recommendations. At the end of the night I thanked her for being so patient and she was gracious and said we were a "fun table". I don't know her name so MIINE cannot give her a gold star. Arriving at 7.30pm, the restaurant was busy and it was quite loud with all the conversations. The DJ with his bass beats probably exacerbated this. I did have to raise my voice to speak to anyone at my round table, even those next to me. Perhaps if the DJ dance beats weren't so loud during dinner time, it could have somewhat quietened the volume of people talking. We were placed in the corner near the pizza oven so at least we weren't surrounded by the noise. I had the mushroom pizza which was tasty. My friend really loved the battered zucchini flowers. The prices (and from reviews, the portions) makes this a nice place for an occasional visit only, such as for special occasions. Note that by law any licensed venue must supply water free of charge. We were charged water but no mention was made of this fee per person - we just saw it when we got the bill. It's not mentioned on the menu. When 5 people spend a few hundred dollars, I'd like the small cup of water I had to be free, in accordance with the law. The wall art is fantastic especially the giant eye. This was my second visit. My first visit to MIINE was within an hour of their closing. My date and I were amongst the only people there when we arrived for a drink or two, so we were able to have a conversation while the DJ played his tunes. My date was really impressed with the service and I loved the décor and wall art. We had a couple of drinks and then went on our way. I realised later I'd lost my wallet so came back to this place which was closed - I managed to get attention of the staff who unlocked the door and were gracious enough to let us back inside to see if we'd dropped it under the table. They got a torch out and lifted up cushions, etc. Alas it was not there but I appreciate their help.
We had a great overall experience. The food was really good, the service was great, and the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, especially the music. Definitely a good place for a date ! The only downside was that despite having a table booked for a specific time, it wasn’t ready when we arrived because previous guests were still eating. We had to wait about 15 minutes in the pub next door. The staff did apologize, but I think it would be better to offer fewer booking slots online if tables can’t be guaranteed, especially during the holiday season.
