The Bally Hotel is amazing. not only is it a Heritage building it offers great food, cold drinks and friendly staff as well. The Bally Hotel may not be in the heart of Wollongong but it sure is a great location for a function or just lunch or dinner. We held my husband's 40th Birthday party 🥳 upstairs and it was fantastic. Our guests loved the venue. The food was so delicious, the drinks nice and cold and the staff for our function were so friendly, even going above and beyond during the event ❤️. The wrap around verandah was a hit with our guests, loving the views from the escarpment to the sea. Organising the event was so easy and Jessica was a breeze to deal with and accommodating for those extra little requests. We highly recommend booking your function at The Bally Hotel. We will definitely be coming back. 😀🤩🙌

We just had my sons 30th upstairs in the function room tonight. Everybody has had a great night thanks to how wonderful the 2 staff members were. Thankyou so much to them both. Their service made it a great night.

We held a reception upstairs and it exceeded our expectations! Bar staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. Jess was great at assisting us throughout the whole process and we would definitely recommend an event held here!

Balgownie Hotel is a great pub. It was extremely busy as it's the end os school year. Food was good but slow. Bar was also bedlam.

Worse designed pub ever...restaurant is on the band area, have to scream to talk, the tab right on the corner can't move at times and food is ordinary and Way over priced other than that not a bad place!!!
