A Glamorous Evening at the Awards Gala, Cargo Hall – South Wharf Attending the Awards Gala at Cargo Hall in South Wharf was a memorable evening filled with anticipation, celebration, and connection. The venue itself was stunning; beautifully located along the waterfront, with a modern yet warm atmosphere that perfectly suited the occasion. The layout and event design were thoughtfully executed, creating an inviting space that encouraged both elegance and engagement. While the overall ambiance and spirit of the evening were commendable, some aspects of the dining experience fell short of expectations. The food, though well-presented, arrived cold, and the vegetarian option lacked flavour and appeal. Service was friendly and attentive in attitude, yet limited staffing meant that many guests waited over twenty minutes to be served after the special dietary meals were delivered. Even with these challenges, the team maintained professionalism and genuine courtesy throughout. Unfortunately, the dessert arrived frozen and was difficult to enjoy, which was disappointing after such a promising start. Nonetheless, the event itself; from the people to the purpose behind the celebration, reflected a wonderful sense of recognition and community. Some evenings shine not only for their glamour but for the dedication and spirit of those who bring them to life. Even with imperfections, this gala was a reminder of how shared moments of achievement and togetherness leave a lasting impression.

This was my first experience at Cargo Hall after hearing good things over the years. We attended a wedding and the staff did not disappoint! It was a little squishy in the foyer area whilst the room was being prepared, however the staff made it tolerable with finger food and drinks flowing. When they opened the hall doors however wow was I impressed. Tables were presented beautifully, everyone had a name on their menu and the lighting set the moon. From there we enjoyed speeches and music throughout the rest of the night. Great experience, kudos to all the staff at Cargo Hall.

Cargo Hall is a visually breathtaking venue, and the lightin' design truly made our weddin' feel magic and romantic. We were so grateful for the excellent service from the staff who worked our weddin'; they were attentive, professional, and contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere of the night. The bar staff were also outstanding, keepin' the drinks flowin' and makin' sure we felt well looked after. While the tucker was mostly delicious, with many guests enjoyin' their meals, the chicken was a bit dry. Rose was a star, takin' over coordination at the last minute and handlin' the chaos admirably, ensurin' the event itself ran smoothly. The tasting' was also a fun and memorable experience, despite the sales-focused approach. However, the lead-up to our wedding' was far more stressful and challenging' than it should have been. Dealings with the original coordinator was a constant chase and follow-up, often feelin' like we were doin' their job for them, and their bein' sacked a week before the event was incredibly upsetting and created a great deal of anxiety. Even simple logistics, like dropping off our decorations, became a hassle due to poor communication and organisation. The end of the night was soured by a rushed and a bit aggro exit, which felt inconsiderate given the emotional significance of the day and the practicalities of packing up. These stuff-ups, combined with other organisational errors, detracted significantly from what should have been a perfect and joyous day, especially considering' the substantial cost involved.

A great venue with wide open spaces and plenty of ventilation. The food was incredible, so delicious and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was ambient but well lit and it had a small stage at the front for speeches. The venue is right on the waterfront with excellent views. It's easy to find with nearby parking too. Would definitely book a party or event here again in the future.

Joined the company’s end of year party on a Friday held here. It wasn’t what I was expected compared to the photos I’ve seen prior attending the event. Seems small and quite dark with toilets narrow for adult guests. But the food and drinks options are good served by accommodating staff and location is undeniably convenient (if you decide to drink alcohol, you can leave your car and take public train ride or private hire a cab from South Wharf- Spencer Street close to Crown)
