My partner and I decided to try the set menu at Casa Chino and we were pleasantly surprised by how generous the portions were. The variety of dishes meant we got to experience a little bit of everything. We started with the oysters and cucumber salad. The oysters were fresh and enjoyable, while the cucumber salad was refreshing but could have used a touch more spice. That being said, considering how boldly seasoned the rest of the menu was I can understand why they kept it lighter. The salt and allspice calamari was cooked well with a great texture, although I felt it was just missing a little extra salt. The absolute standout of the night was the kingfish ceviche. This dish was nothing short of incredible!! Every ingredient was distinct but they all came together perfectly to create one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. An easy 10/10. The sweet and sour chicken was another winner. It had incredible flavour and was a refreshing take on a classic dish. The sauce was rich and the chicken was tender and perfectly cooked.

Casa Chino is hands down one of the best restaurants in Brunswick. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a night out. The food was incredible, and the oysters were exceptionally fresh and full of flavour. Every dish was beautifully prepared and packed with taste. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a great local restaurant in Brunswick, Casa Chino is definitely a must-visit. 🌟🦪🍸

Great Peruvian-Asian fusion restaurant with a great garden and lovely ambiance. Food was delicious with an excellent menu. Cost around $80 per head with a cocktail, but there are set menu options starting at $55 pp. We were all really full with what we ordered. Tofu was exceptional!

Went in not really knowing what to expect and ended up staying way longer than planned, which is always a good sign. The vibe here is honestly the highlight. Live music kicks in and slowly fills the room, and before you know it, dinner turns into a full Saturday night vibe. Food is made for sharing, cocktails are fun and well-balanced, and nothing feels rushed. It’s social, lively, and still relaxed enough to actually enjoy a conversation. Feels like the kind of place you bring friends when you want a night that’s more than just eating. Would definitely come back, especially on a Saturday with the live music.

We went to celebrate a birthday and had a booking for nine people. When we arrived, we were told that for a group of that size they could only offer three set menus with five courses and a dessert included. The experience was not pleasant. We ended up spending almost three hours at the restaurant because the service was very slow and there were long delays between courses. We chose the $59 set menu per person, but overall the food was extremely spicy. There was no balance in the flavours; everything was very spicy, which made the meal less enjoyable. In addition, we had to wait more than 40 minutes for the final dish, which was a guava dessert, making the wait even more uncomfortable. Overall, we did not have a good experience for such a special celebration.
