It was okay is the best way to sum it up in my experience. After having to wait for 30 minutes past the booking time for a table to clear up, I was quite hungry, especially at 8:20pm. The food was underwhelming. The siu mei was a great size, but was bland with no flavour. Some soy or chili soy would have worked wonders for it. The fried barramundi was essentially a curled up fish but again, lacked flavour. The beef Randang was nice which was a relief. The broccoli was also nice. The burrata was good and the coconut mochi cake was a total miss. The young short blonde girl who was serving the back corner was fantastic. Super friendly, would check in and was 100% on point. The restaurant itself looks really nice inside and has the right lighting and vibe, but my god it is loud, I couldn’t wait to eat and leave. I opted for the $75 feed me option and I feel for what you pay, you could get a lot better.

King fish - sublime! Borata- divine! Chicken dim sum - perfect! This is where we should’ve stopped, our eyes clearly bigger than our bellies. Sirlion challengingly rare, but nice, excellent sauce. Barramundi amazing presentation- needed salt and sauce. The aged duck was not amazing, underwhelming presentation: ratio of pickle to duck was weighted in favour of pickle. Veggies generous & on point, desert passé. The $85 pp feed me was delightful overall, two of your listed beers were not available but your wait staff had great personalities which made everything enjoyable

Went with a girlfriend for the first time last night for dinner. Have wanted to go since this place first opened! Firstly, our server was amazing! She was so polite and friendly. It was pretty busy and whilst there was a small wait at the door and on exit to pay the bill, staff looked happy and the vibes were good. Secondly, the food. Very mid. We ordered the $79 ‘fire it up’ from the Feed Me menu. First course was ceviche, shu mai and we ordered the truffle mayo sticky rice dumplings as an extra. Civeche lacked taste, shu mai was yummy and so were the dumplings. Mains we got a WHOLE barramundi fish (should have read the menu closer as we weren’t fans of a whole deep fried fish, head and all) some roasted broccoli, a mint and apple side salad covered in chilli oil to the point it couldn’t be eaten and some pork belly bites. Pork belly bites were in a yummy sauce, but could have been crispier. The Burrumundi tasted extremely ‘fishy’. Not mild and tender. We both had one bite and couldn’t eat anymore but didn’t want to waste the food. We let our server know who kindly got us a takeaway container and I took it home to my dogs (they loved it!). The mint and apple/pear salad was inedible. It was like stuffing a whole chilli into our mouths and didn’t compliment any of the main dishes. The broccoli was edible and a nice side dish. For dessert it was the mochi cake. Would give this a hard miss. Didn’t taste like mochi and couldn’t eat as the texture and taste were off. For drinks we ordered a cocktail each at $24 a pop. These were delish but on the smaller serving side of cocktail servings. Would I go back? No. In total the bill was $213 for 2 people and this meal was no where near the value of this and what we expected. Everything tasted like it needed a good seasoning 🧂 Service was great. Vibes were good. Food was a miss unfortunately.

Great service and atmosphere, generous portions too. The service was really friendly and attentive, including catering really well for dietary requirements. Had the $75pp set menu. I usually love Asian fusion for big, bold flavours and got some of that with the entrées, while the mains were a little more subtle. The pork wasn’t quite as crispy as I’d hoped and a bit dry so left feeling a bit disappointed in the food. Really enjoyed the desert and dumplings though. Overall, we had a great night, lots of fun, and the vibe, service, and atmosphere really made the experience special.

Great atmosphere for a small cosy restaurant. The foods are bloody amazing. Loved the crispy barramundi, great flavouring. Oysters are so fresh and delish. The roast duck is so good, not oily and that gamy taste that you get from the restaurant that you see with the duck hanging by the window.
