Traveled with my daughter for a city staycay for her birthday. They made her night so special, we got a high room, balloons, teddies and a special card and choccies on her bed. They really made her night. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the pool is great - we got a sweet spot and had the pool to ourselves. Only negative we found was a light that flashes above the bed (we had the 2 double beds) and the door had a decent gap (one side) so the hall light peaked through and also noted the sound to hallway was a bit more than I remember from hotel rooms. Breakfast was great - their auto coffee machine was a hard pass for me but couldn't fault anything else. You can order eggs to your liking easily and the pancake machine was a hit with my daughter.

Booked a 5 night stay in this lovely hotel through Luxury Escapes. Our deluxe twin room was clean, spacious and comfortable with the cushioned window seat a beautiful bonus. The daily breakfast was extensive and varied with the pancake maker and mini pastries a highlight. We relaxed at the end of each day with a drink in Jin Bar. Room service was quick, food was hot and delicious. Indoor pool and spa were great and loved the towels were provided at the pool. Whilst at the western end of the CBD we found the location to be perfect with a tram stop at the end of the street that took you anywhere in the CBD for free. The epitome of any good property is its staff. This is where the Dorsett shines. From the moment we walked in the door nothing was a problem. The staff were friendly, accommodating and take pride in making sure you enjoy your stay. Compliments to Elizabeth on the front desk, Mark who helped us recover souvenirs that blew away in wild winds the day checked out and a special shout out to Naveen (Food & Beverage Manager) who greeted us every morning at breakfast with a natural smile. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Stayed here for 1 night and had a really great experience. Located right in the city, the hotel was very convenient. The room was spacious, and the room service was excellent. Really enjoyed the breakfast — they had good vegetarian options as well. Valet parking was available, which made things even easier. The gym, indoor pool, and all the facilities were amazing. Thank you to Dorsett Melbourne for such a wonderful stay!

Great family-friendly hotel! Located within a 10-minute walk from Southern Cross Station. I stayed here with my child during the Easter holidays. They gave my child lots of Easter chocolates and gifts, which made them so happy! There are plenty of relaxing spaces. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s a very cozy, affordable, and excellent place to stay with kids.

Absolutely amazing stay at Dorsett Hotel. Everything was exceptional — from the beautifully appointed rooms to the outstanding breakfast each morning. The room was comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax straight away. Breakfast was a real highlight with great variety and quality. Service throughout the hotel was friendly and professional, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend and would happily stay again.
