The venue emulates the warmth and relaxation of a home, but with ample space to entertain and go big. It’s fit with two distinct spaces, seating up to 120 people, or 300 standing.

Cute venue that I’ve visited over the years. Foods good and staff at lovely. Only down side is the pop heartbreak music bringing down the atmosphere! Save it for when the customers leave 😉

A popular spot for office workers at lunchtime and for groups of friends or colleagues in the evening. The menu features the typical dishes you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant, along with a good selection of drinks. Service is impressively quick given the number of guests during lunch hours, but booking in advance is highly recommended; otherwise, you may face a long wait before being seated.

We decided to try Fonda as it had come up on my instagram so many times and it did not disappoint! Rob looked after us for the evening and he could not have been more attentive,we were never without a drink or anything we could have possibly needed! We opted for the bottomless brunch and the food was incredible with so many different options for proteins,the seasoning in the fries was INCREDIBLE!!!! The margaritas were delicious(no half measures either),but they also had so many different options if you aren’t a tequila fan! All in all,I would highly recommend a visit if you love Mexican food!

Their lamb taco tastes the closest to the ones I had in Mexico. I've been looking for lamb tacos for many years and tried from many places and I can say theirs is the best! And, the fish taco has the sauce that goes really well with the fried fish. Their chicken burrito is also highly recommended. I finished the lamb taco literally in a minute and had to immediately order another one lol.

Had dinner at Fonda Flinders Street last night and everything was spot on. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. The tacos were excellent – especially the Baja Snapper, Crispy Prawn, and Grilled Chicken. The Lamb Shoulder Quesadilla and the new Slow Cooked Beef Birria were packed with flavour, and the Tasmanian Lamb Burrito was another highlight. We also really enjoyed the Jalapeno Cheese Bites and the Smoky Mac & Cheese Croquettes. Great experience overall – we’ll definitely be coming back.
