We’ve stayed in their apartment for 2 nights and it was really a delightful experience. Mark was very kind during our check-in and the process was smooth when we wanted to extend our stay. They’ve got everything you need and the room is really clean. The view is nice too especially at night. Very spacious as well for 2 people and a baby. We went to their breakfast buffet and it was really good with a variety of choices. The staff were really nice especially Grace. Although the location is a bit far away from the city, there are bus and tram stops which is about a 5-minute walk, if you are using public transpo. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Oakwood and would definitely book again should we decided to stay again in Melbourne for a getaway.

We really enjoyed my stay at Oak Wood Hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent. The food was tasty, and the portions were big, definitely worth it! The view was amazing too, with beautiful sights of the water and the city. The hotel is close to DFO, which is great for shopping. Our room was very clean, spacious, and well looked after. The only thing I’d suggest is adding more choices to the breakfast menu. Apart from that, everything was perfect, I’d happily stay here again!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my 6D5N stay at Oakwood Hotel Melbourne was disappointing from start to finish. On the first night, the air-conditioning in my room was completely non-functional. It was facing the carpark of the exhibition centre and due to the F1 exhibition, cars were revving throughout the night till 2am. While the front desk kindly arranged a room change, no assistance was offered to help move my luggage. At a five-star hotel, I did not expect to be simply handed a luggage trolley and left to navigate the lift and corridors on my own. Unfortunately, the replacement room had its own issues. The air-conditioning would automatically switch off every hour throughout, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. As there were no maintenance staff available at night, I was given a standing fan as a temporary solution. Maintenance only came by the next day to troubleshoot the issue. Breakfast was another letdown. The breakfast service ends at 10am and when I went down around 9am, cups at the coffee area and food were not replenished. For a hotel of this supposed standard, basic items should be readily available throughout breakfast hours. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable and poorly managed. This made the experience even less enjoyable, especially for travelers hoping to explore Melbourne. Between the repeated room issues, lack of service support, breakfast shortcomings and inconvenient location, this was not a pleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel and would not return.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our anniversary. They did a little bit of extra stuff which made our stay even more special! Very clean and environmentally friendly place. I love how much they value sustainability. The refillable bathroom amenities are so good. It is also walking distance to DFO and CBD. Shoutout to the housekeeping team for doing such an amazing job servicing our room. Thank you to the amazing front desk team who goes above and beyond to cater us with our needs. I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough! We will definitely come back and stay here again!
