Stayed for one week as a family of four in a twin room. We found all staff in every area of the hotel very friendly and efficient, someone was always there to assist, whatever was needed. Rooms very modern, spacious, clean and fresh. Awesome gym. Location was right beside Bourke street, the free trams, all the shops and restaurants, can't get any closer to it all. The club lounge was a great escape from a busy day, providing light foods and drinks of an evening. The only improvement I would make is to add some salads or lighter foods at night, too often heavy or deep fried options we provided. The breakfast was fantastic, and exemplary service all round. Thank you too all the staff whom made our stay so enjoyable.

Guest facilities are very good - the gym is well equipped, trendy and spacious. The infrared sauna hit the spot. The lounge is tastefully decorated and relaxing. Our corner room had adequate and environmentally friendly amenities. Breakfast was delicious and nutritious. We had a great extended weekend stay in a very convenient Pullman - excellent job.

We stayed at Pullman Melbourne City Centre for one night, mainly because of its fantastic location. You really can’t beat it. It’s right in the heart of the CBD, surrounded by shops, cafés and restaurants, with Chinatown just around the corner. Trams and the train station are only a short walk away, making it an excellent base for exploring Melbourne. The room was clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate for a one-night stay. The amenities were good, the gym was well equipped, and I especially enjoyed the sauna after a long day. The rooftop bar is also a nice spot for a drink, although if you’re hoping to sit outside I’d definitely recommend making a booking. We were initially told one wasn’t necessary, but when we arrived it was fully booked. A few things stopped this from being a five-star experience for me. For a hotel carrying the Pullman name and at the price we paid, I expected a little more. The room didn’t have a proper desk or chair, which made it almost impossible to get some work done. We also asked if there was a business area or workspace in the hotel, but unless you’re staying in the Club Lounge or upgrading to a higher room category, there isn’t really an option. We had a city-view room, which looked fantastic, but the windows didn’t block out as much street noise as I expected. On a Saturday night we could clearly hear traffic and people outside. Thankfully it became much quieter after around 11 pm, so we still had a good night’s sleep. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable hotel with genuinely friendly staff and an unbeatable location. I just felt that, considering the premium price and Pullman branding, it didn’t quite deliver the level of comfort and facilities I’d expect. For me, it felt more like a very good upscale 3-star or solid 4-star experience rather than a premium luxury hotel.

Update: After sharing my concerns with the management, they reached out and handled the situation very professionally. They acknowledged the communication gaps, rectified the billing errors, and ensured my member discounts were properly applied. I truly appreciate the proactive steps taken by the team to make things right. It’s reassuring to see a hotel that values feedback and takes concrete action to support its loyalty members. ___________________________________________________ Original Review The Vibe & Food are great, but the Management is really need to improve I really wanted to love this stay because the hotel has such a hip, youthful energy, amazingly convenient location and the food was genuinely delicious. However, as an Accor Gold Member, the operational failures were too significant to ignore. The Good: Design: The hotel looks great—very modern and vibrant atmosphere. Dining: Food quality was excellent. Both the breakfast and the lounge service were highlights of the stay. The Bad (Management & Systems): Check-in: Despite informing them of my early arrival, the room was ready extremely late. Housekeeping Credit Mess: They offer a $10/day credit to skip cleaning. I stayed 6 nights and had only 1 cleaning, but at checkout, I was only given $20 instead of the $50 I was owed. It’s frustrating to have to "audit" the hotel's own promises. Loyalty Recognition: No one mentioned that points couldn't be used at the lounge/breakfast, and zero member discounts were applied. Verdict: I don't expect "princess treatment," but I do expect a hotel to honor its loyalty program and manage its credits correctly. It’s a shame that such a cool, tasty spot is held back by disorganized systems.

Location is good but unfortunately we felt underwhelmed with most aspects of our stay. As a platinum Accor member I emailed in advance to see if an upgrade or room on a high floor could be allocated, we were placed on level 6 of 15 with a terrible view. Welcome gift was disappointing and we were charged for one of our welcome drinks. The man on the guest relations desk was rude and shouldn’t really be working in customer service. Again as a platinum member I requested a late check out (12 noon instead of 10am) which could only be secured for a price until I reminded the guest relations staff member that if available it should be complementary for platinum members. I’m not sure if he’s on some sort of commission but he wasn’t happy. Breakfast in the lounge was also an issue. For some reason the hotel restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay which meant that the lounge was not exclusive but open to all hotel breakfast guests. This made it challenging to get a seat and breakfast options ran out and weren’t restocked. Again not the experience I was hoping for as a platinum member. We’re staying at the Mantra Sun City on the Gold Coast next week which is a 3 star property and already the platinum member experience has been far better and we haven’t even checked in yet.
