We've been members here for years and totally love it. They've renovated, especially with a cool new section where you can check out native marine life like biscuit starfish and spider crabs, and explore the rocky shore. The interactive rockpool is awesome for all ages, and their staff are super helpful, explaining all the species. One young Asian guy, I didn't catch his name, was amazing – he'd notice us looking at something and then drop extra facts. My toddler was hooked and learned so much from him! We went on a Friday around lunchtime.
This place always delivers with spot talks all day long. We ended up staying over four hours. If you're coming from far, they have designated parking for a discount, but definitely check their website first. This time, we parked across at Crown Multi Parking and only paid $15 since we arrived before lunch and left around 4 pm.
Their membership is worth buying especially if you have a little and wants to come for few hours. I highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing experience. The aquarium itself was beautiful but the highlight for me was the team members, everybody we talked to was super helpful, knowledgable and clearly passionate about their work- throughout the whole aqarium we talked to several staff and they were all lovely and happy to have a chat about the animals. Absolutely recommend.

SEA LIFE Melbourne is my child’s absolute favourite place, and we have already visited four times. No matter how many times we come back, the experience is always exciting and enjoyable. My child is always amazed by the colourful fish, sharks, penguins, and the interactive exhibits throughout the aquarium.
The venue is clean, well-organised, and very family-friendly, making it easy and comfortable to explore with children. The exhibits are not only entertaining but also educational, allowing kids to learn about marine life in a fun and engaging way. There is always something interesting to see, and we never feel rushed during our visit.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming for families. It’s a perfect place for children to learn, explore, and create memorable experiences. My child never gets bored here and always asks to come back again.
SEA LIFE Melbourne is truly a wonderful place for families, and I highly recommend it to anyone with children. We will definitely continue coming back in the future.

We visited SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium with our kids and had a wonderful experience. It was great to see such a wide variety of marine life up close, and the exhibits were engaging and well laid out for families.
The absolute highlight for us was the penguins — they were our favourite! Watching them swim and waddle around was a big hit with the kids and kept everyone entertained for quite a while.
Overall, it’s a fantastic attraction for families with children, educational yet fun, and well worth a visit when in Melbourne. 🐧🐠

One of the best experiences I’ve had, ive been to a lot of aquariums and this is by far one of my favorite. Sadly the Croc has passed away last week and i wasn’t able to see it.
First time seeing penguins and they are so beautiful, watching them feed was very interesting. A lot of sea creatures, from reef to ocean, and rainforest.
Amazing idea for a day out
Also known lovingly as ‘The Fish Bowl’ guests journey down through the dreamlike tanks of illuminated jellyfish to arrive in this stunning location. Sharks and giant rays circle the dining venue throughout the evening. A once in a lifetime experience, as these majestic creatures provide the perfect backdrop for your event. You can also explore and enjoy pre drinks with
canapes amongst the Ocean Invaders room and the Shipwreck Theatrette.
In the centre of the precinct, on ground level and boasting riverside views and private balcony sits the stunning Coral Atoll. Guests can be treated to drinks and canapes overlooking Pinjarra – the impressive 5m long crocodile as he lounges in his lair.
The main feature in this space is a large central tank, casting a beautiful glow over diners and including beautiful coral gardens and hundreds of exotic aquatic animals.

Surround yourself with nature’s most incredible sea life while entertaining guests in the
middle of Melbourne’s CBD.
Be amazed by Australia’s awe-inspiring marine animals whilst you dine and socialize. The
aesthetic architecture of the aquarium means styling can be kept to a minimum, as you
simply can sit back and let nature do it’s thing. Be captivated by the blues of the ocean
while you enjoy our world class catering.
The Sea Life Aquarium is positioned closely to a range of public transport facilities, and 24
hour parking at Secure Parking, located at 522 Flinders Lane. Spaces within the Aquarium
can be themed and customized to your event, including signage within the tanks.
