Just had dinner at The Bay Hotel Mornington and the award winning chicken Parma was seriously impressive. The chicken was unreal, incredibly tender with top quality coating and toppings. The food quality is genuinely out of this world for pub grub. I’d easily give the food a solid 4/5. Service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and spot on (5/5). However, I was shocked at the price. $32 for a chicken Parma feels like absolute daylight robbery for what is supposed to be an everyday pub meal. For that money, I expected a much bigger chicken portion plus more generous servings of chips and salad. If they loaded up the sides and made the Parma noticeably larger, it would easily be worth the price. As it stands, the value just isn’t there. Overall, the quality is very good and I’d come back for the food and service, but they really need to rethink their pricing or portions for the Parma.

A little slice of England right here on the Mornington Peninsula 🇬🇧✨ We were invited by our daughter’s boyfriend, who is English, to experience a traditional Sunday the proper way—and The Bay Hotel truly delivered beyond expectations. The roasted English meal was absolutely delicious—rich, comforting, and beautifully prepared. You can tell there’s real care behind the food, capturing that authentic homestyle flavour that makes a Sunday roast so special. What made the experience even more memorable was the ambience. From the moment you walk in, the setting transports you straight to a classic English pub. The bar is elegant and full of character, and every detail throughout the venue has been thoughtfully designed. Even the restrooms reflect that same charm and attention to detail, which really adds to the overall experience. It’s warm, inviting, and full of personality—the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and feel like you’ve travelled without leaving Victoria. A truly wonderful experience, especially for anyone wanting to enjoy an authentic taste of England on a Sunday. Highly recommended ✨

Tonight we went to the Bay Hotel and it was amazing. The service was on point and the steak and cocktails were so good. Kirsty our main waitress was so good and she even complimented us a glass of red and some free chips when there was a slight mix up with our order. We will be going back again soon for sure. 😊💕
