The Laurel Hotel is a beautifully refurbished venue in the heart of Ascot Vale, offering a welcoming and stylish setting for celebrations of all kinds. Our private Level 1 function space features its own exclusive bar, built-in AV and sound system, and accommodates up to 60 guests seated or 100 standing. For larger events, our spacious downstairs dining room is available for exclusive hire and can host up to 200 standing guests. From milestone birthdays, engagements, baby showers and Christmas parties to corporate lunches, networking events and celebrations of life, our experienced team will work with you to create an event tailored to your vision.
We offer a range of flexible food and beverage packages, including canapés, share-style menus, wood-fired pizzas and bespoke catering options, with menus that cater to a variety of dietary requirements. Moved back into the City, The Laurel was our regular years ago, so had to stop in-so glad we did! The renovations are spot on, has a cosy, Pub feel, Staff were friendly, and the Snacks we chose were delicious! From the CBD, the Tram stops right out the front-will definitely be a regular we head to!

Sat20June26 ... This AscotVale local is a smoothly! run & establishment. The staff are nicely professional & enthusiastic! I was seriously craving a simple-dimple pizza. Their MargheritaPizza (which i added RedOnion & Archovies onto) was Yumbo! Main bar area is more than adequate to eat & drink at for a bite & glass/2! Gratitudes ☺️🙏🥂🧊

Fantastic local pub with an amazing atmosphere, great food and genuinely friendly staff. You can really feel the community vibe the moment you walk in. The steaks were spot on, drinks were great and the service made the whole experience even better. So good to have a venue like this in Ascot Vale.

Dined here a few times but came in on Anzac Day before heading to the game for the Pies v Bombers game. The outdoor area was unreal, beers flowing from their portable bar and the service from the staff was on point. Had the new Buffalo Wings and could not recommend them more - crunchy, saucy and flavourful. Perfect footy watching food.

My partner and I had our engagement lunch at the Laurel Hotel a few weeks ago. Can't recommend it more highly. We were looked after so well in the upstairs function room by the team, nothing was too hard for them! Food was delicious and lots of little elements on the dishes setting itself apart from your usual pub fare, great attention to detail. Can't wait to get back there and make it my new local! Thanks so much guys!
