Had a fantastic family lunch at The Provincial Hotel in Fitzroy. The venue has a great mix of old-school Melbourne pub charm and modern touches, with plenty of different spaces to enjoy. We loved the colourful heated outdoor beer garden, which felt relaxed and somewhat family-friendly, and the photo booth was a fun bonus. The food was excellent, with generous portions and plenty of variety on the menu. The Sunday roast was cooked beautifully, the steak was tender, and the sides were fresh and full of flavour. Everything arrived quickly and was presented well. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and enjoy a long lunch. Located right on Brunswick Street, it’s a great spot whether you’re meeting friends, bringing the family or just looking for a quality meal in Fitzroy. We’ll definitely be back.

Loved our Sunday at Provincial Hotel Rooftop Bar! Their Sip Happens event is such a fun way to spend a couple of hours with bottomless drinks, everything was refreshing and well-made. The food was also really tasty, perfect to snack on while sipping. Great vibe, friendly staff, and a perfect way to unwind on the weekend. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill rooftop experience with good drinks and bites!

We came to the Provincial watch the UFC and have a bite to eat. The match was deafening despite there only being a handful of people there to watch it, so we couldn’t hear each other. The reason we are giving it 1/5 stars though is the Parma. Dry, tough, overcooked, and covered with powdered cheese?! Outrageous for $32. Served with a tiny bowl of chips and no salad. Might explain why the place is empty?! Very disappointed.

Had a great time at the Provincial Hotel rooftop bar! The bottomless drinks were refreshing, the nibbles were tasty, and the overall vibe made it perfect for a relaxed catch-up. Definitely worth it.

The Provincial is a Fitzroy staple – a big, lively pub with plenty of character. The exterior has that classic, slightly weathered look, but inside it’s buzzing with a good mix of people, colourful lighting, and a friendly vibe. The food is solid pub grub – parmas, chips, and other staples that hit the spot, with weekly specials and happy hour deals that make it good value. The drinks list is decent, service is quick, and there’s lots of space for groups. It’s not the fanciest spot in Fitzroy, but that’s part of the charm. Between the rooftop, beer garden, and buzzing main bar, it’s a reliable choice for a fun night out.
