I reall like this pub, great location, atmosphere and certain seats have what would probably be the most iconic view in Melbourne (Flinders Station). Probably my favourite pub in the city. I went there before and AFL game at the MCG and it was great, six month later went back and it was much less busy but still had a charming atmosphere

Stepping back in time here in Melbourne to a very famous pub, but unfortunately, it was the last stop for a lot of young Australians, who sacrifice our lives in World War II. It’s an amazing place and a tribute to those men and women..

Young & Jackson is a true Melbourne classic. Full of history, character, and great atmosphere, it’s one of those pubs that everyone should visit at least once. Right across from Flinders Street Station, it’s the perfect spot for a drink and a dose of old Melbourne charm.
The famous “haunted” stories add to the fun – you can definitely feel the heritage and age in the building, with creaky floors and that slightly eerie vibe in certain corners. Whether you’re here for the history, the legends, or just a good pub experience, it never disappoints.
A must-visit for locals and visitors alike! 🍻👻

Well …. “DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!” .. What a magnificent heritage hotel , four floors of an era gone by , and extremely popular with the locals … drinks. Meals , including some excellent deserts …. And location. Straight opposite Flinders Station 👍👍👍

T bone steak was tremendous. Very well prepared. Only minor hiccup in my opinion was the lack of sides. The fish chips were great as well, juicy and fresh. Oh, no chili sauce in a steakhouse which served fries seems kinda silly. Well if anyone of the management read this, they know what to do. Service by the staff was tremendous. Would certainly come again.
Our premier room on the corner of Swanston and Flinders Street, looking over Federation Square, Flinders Street Station and the stunning St. Paul's Cathedral. For intimate occasions with under 50 guests, this room can match whatever style of event you're running, either an elegant and relaxed area or with a dance floor, DJ and band.
Chloe's Room is made up of the Salon lounge area and Chloe's Bar, holding up to 100 guests for a standing event or 60 for a seated event. This room adds luxury of a private bar to your reception.
The room is named after the historic piece of art hanging on the walls. She is a Melbourne icon, mascot for the HMAS Melbourne, an extremely fine work of art; she is an ingénue, a nymph, a celebrity. She is Chloe, the famous nude portrait which has graced the walls of the Young and Jackson Hotel since 1909.
Finally, our largest function room option can be reserved for private functions up to 180 guests standing and 110 for a seated event. Comprising of our Salon, Chloe's Bar and two additional lounge areas, this format offers the capability for full privacy, in quiet relaxed spaces and upbeat party areas.
Our rooftop bar located at the top of our historic venue, is decorated with local artists' murals and a view of St Paul's Cathedral, and is absolutely perfect for a medium sized party. Bustling in the sun & fresh air, this area is perfect for birthdays, celebrations & corporate gatherings.
One of the most popular in our gorgeous venue. With large windows showing off the stunning views of historic landmarks, such as Flinders Street Station & St Paul’s Cathedral. This room comes exclusively with a private bar and a TV screen which is perfect to watch live sporting events. Corner bar is perfect for smaller affairs and those who love the traditional pub feel.
