Love what they have done to the rooms!! Colour palette brilliant. We had a room on the 12th floor and it was wonderful being able to sit on the balcony watching the Swan River! Checking In was a breeze, they had the room ready and waiting for us. LOVE how the breakfast has changed. And being greeted every morning by Philip and his team. Nothing was too much for them to ensure our breakfast was a great start to the day. The weather in Perth was just a bonus!!

The views are great for a sunset. For a 6'2 bloke the only issue i have is the shower heads are shoulder height. Bit frustrating but hey, bar and room is nice and spacious. Happy hour is great $10 pints of local brew, can't go wrong there.

In a competitive environment for hotels what really makes an experience special is the staff and the way you are treated. We had a number of issues with the hotel which could have been resolved with good service but management took no responsibility for issues. - There was a large group of overseas rugby players staying in the hotel blasting a huge speaker over the pool area first thing in the morning, management said that other guests disturbing the peace was not their problem. - Room service was not delivered to room and needed to be picked up downstairs but we were still charged delivery, management said we probably left the room when it was delivered (we did not). - The hot water went out for an hour and half on Saturday evening, just as we returned from a long day at Rottnest full of sand and exhausted. The management's attitude was too bad, this happens. While I respect things go wrong, the management need to compensate to ensure the guest experience is still a high standard. Whether that be with kind words, sincere apologies, a free drink, or something else but their stance on everything was "not our problem". On checkout I pushed a lot on the many issues, especially since the water was only turned back on after midnight asking what could be done and was offered 1000 IHG Points for all the issues faced in the stay. This is valued at $7.50 to $10 AUD at a future IHG stay. Wow.... Other little things that we found needed more attention, like they had a jar of sweets at the entrance which was empty on some days. There were rugby players having massages on pop up tables infront on the lift area for everyone to see. The robes were removed from our room one day and we had to request them back. There are more but this review is long enough! It is not a bad hotel, but until the staff and management step up their game and understand guest experience we will not be back.

Had a wonderful 4 nights here. The staff, especially Vanessa, were outstanding. The room was lovely, with everything you needed for your stay. There was even a launderette here for use id needed. Great location, around a 20 min walk to the rail station which will take you anywhere in Perth.

We had a lovely one-night stay with the kids and overall a very nice experience. We had a great time. The pool has a beautiful view, and the gym is connected to the pool, which made it very convenient for me to work out while keeping an eye on the kids swimming. Dinner at Gusti Restaurant was excellent. The food was delicious, and the young male waiter was very kind and attentive — he even gave us a complimentary drink with our dinner. I really loved the cheese cocktail and the coffee cocktail (sorry, I can’t remember the exact names). Breakfast was also a nice surprise, as an older waiter kindly did not charge us for the breakfast we ordered from the menu, which was very much appreciated. The bedroom was comfortable, and the pillow was perfect. However, one downside was the noise from the room above us. I could hear kids running around late into the night, which made it difficult to sleep. I contacted reception, but the noise continued, so I had to complain again a few hours later. Thankfully, after that, the noise reduced and I was finally able to fall asleep. I believe it may have been the same group of teenage boys who were also playing quite recklessly in the gym earlier. Overall, the hotel itself is great, and I would definitely come back again. It was just unfortunate that I didn’t get a full night of good sleep due to noise from other guests.
