A great live venue. While downstairs it feels like Vegas meets timezone, meets cinema, upstairs is a great lounge where you can meet before a show. It's not big but you can take your drinks into the theatre with you. Seating is intimate but there's no seat with a bad view.
Excellent selection of games, we went for the pinball night. Great atmosphere, Tony was very friendly and made the effort a pleasant to attend... Cant wait to get back again
Went to see a show. Mannup the Musical. Very entertaining. Staff were friendly and helpful, as it was first time attending the theatre. Arcade games downstairs and a bar. Food also served. Specials everyday...
This place has a lot of potential. My review would otherwise be higher, but a few things put me off: The overuse of generative AI in their promotional materials and on their website made the place feel a bit cheap and tacky. I play a lot of DDR. The cabinet at Planet runs the default credit settings, so you’re paying $4 for 3 songs. Other cabinets in the CBD average almost a dollar lower, and offer Galaxy play either for free or for 2 credits maximum, so you can play 4 songs for cheap. With the machine on its current settings, a Galaxy credit would cost you $12. One of those Bunnings industrial fans would also be a welcome addition here, as the place is quite warm. The cabinet is at an audible volume and the pads are in good nick otherwise. Taiko is $4 for 2 songs. The drums are in marginally better condition than Timezone, and the machine is in a good quiet spot. The price difference immediately detracts from this despite the machine being better in other regards. The other games were reasonably priced, and drinks to match. I do enjoy a bit of old school Point Blank, so my time here was definitely not wasted.
Went to see Footloose the musical. Had a cocktail in the downstairs bar before going up to the theatre. Theatre is small and intimate, great seats and views of the stage
