We had an amazing stay here! My husband and I spent three nights on the island, and it turned out to be the perfect little getaway. We always dedicate at least one full day just to enjoy the hotel itself — we’re true hotel lovers! Although the property is not brand new, everything is very well maintained. Our room was tidy and clean, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. One of our favorite spots was definitely the balcony. We enjoyed relaxing there with some drinks while taking in the quiet peaceful view — such a peaceful moment together. The resort offers multiple restaurants and bars, spacious grounds, and lovely pools where you can truly unwind. And don’t forget to visit the Sunset Bar — the sunset there is absolutely stunning and not to be missed! Another highlight was the thoughtful service. From the convenient luggage transfer from the mainland check-in to our room, to the attentive and kind support from the staff, everything made our stay seamless. Special thanks to Stefanus for his warm hospitality. We would absolutely love to return to this island and stay here again in the future.

We stayed at the resort for two nights and, unfortunately, were genuinely shocked by the overall condition of the property — particularly the rooms. The facilities appear worn down and poorly maintained. In our bathroom, plaster was hanging from the ceiling, and pieces had fallen into and around the bathtub. The room itself had clearly not been vacuumed properly — possibly for quite some time — as visible dirt had accumulated in several areas of the floor. The bed linens looked old and worn, and the mattress was extremely sagging, giving the impression that it had not been replaced in many years. This overall sense of neglect reflects the general condition of the resort. That said, it is important to emphasize that the natural surroundings are absolutely stunning. The island itself is breathtaking, and the excursions offered are excellent. Everything you can explore here — from beaches to inland lakes and wildlife — makes the trip worthwhile. Our clear recommendation would be to visit the island, but limit a stay at the resort to one night at most. Alternatively, consider doing day trips or exploring with your own 4WD vehicle and camping instead. The destination is truly worth seeing — the accommodation, unfortunately, does not live up to the setting.

I had super high expectations and was excited to stay here. I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa (615) for 3 nights and the room was so clean and wasn’t dated at all like others have said. I feel like they also situated us in a great spot. Maybe not intentionally, but we weren’t all piled on top of each other. I had 2 complaints whilst here. First night realising the bed leg had been broken. I reported this around 4pm and the next day it was fixed while we were out :) the next night I reported neighbours who were located behind and to the left of us. They weren’t close by but were SO loud. Loud music, screaming and yelling and dragging furniture around outside. I’m not usually a sook for noise on a Friday night but this was an insane amount. I spoke to a duty manager via WhatsApp who sent another duty manager out straight away to advise the rowdy group. 2 issues that were caused by other travellers that the staff were more than happy to assist me with, to keep me happy. I really really value and appreciate that :) I found the food drinks and coffee prices were extreme but I guess they would need to charge more for ferrying supplies over. Still, there are no other options so it does feel like a bit of a tourist trap. If we ever come again we would 100% bring our own groceries and cook everything, so poor planning on my end if anything. Overall, I think it was great however I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again, an I don’t feel like it was anything special.

Rooms were mostly nice and tidy—I liked the idea of asking for room service from your door. There were many things to explore. Though, do not bother trying to eat from your room—cutlery and plates/bowls aren’t available from your room, you have to get them from a restaurant which may be a bit of a walk. Service was very polite. Keep in mind that the night walk costs money, as well as the Illumina light show (but that goes without question). My room came with a dirty knife under the bed, which I found by accident as the beds move. Wouldn’t have been that difficult to find if the cleaning was thoroughly done. Unsure if this was on accident or not, but somebody had forgotten to log out of their YouTube Premium account on the Smart TV inside the room. Apart from all of that, the resort was beautiful. Amazing location, I loved the island. There were so many animals to see and explore, and learn a bit about the Butchulla people and their lifestyle. I tried a few safe berries from the day ranger walk—might end up planting some of them in my own home!

Our stay at K’gari Beach Resort was pure luxury from beginning to end. It is genuinely breathtaking. Surrounded by the raw beauty of the island while enjoying complete comfort made the whole experience unforgettable. The two-night package was exceptional value and perfectly curated. The Illumina light show was incredible, such a powerful and immersive experience that added something truly unique to the stay. The fine dining dinner was outstanding, showcasing fresh local food that was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Every meal felt thoughtful and elevated. Our room was as impressive. Spacious, beautifully styled and incredibly comfortable, it was the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring. The Beauty Spots tour was a major highlight, and our guide Butcher absolutely made it epic. His knowledge, humour and passion for the island brought every stop to life and made the experience even more memorable. It was my birthday, and the team made it so special with thoughtful touches and warm service. My husband, who is usually a dedicated camper and had never visited before, was completely blown away by both the island and how exceptional the resort experience was. If you are visiting Queensland, this is an absolute must. The perfect balance of adventure, indulgence and world-class natural beauty.
