We had a perfect morning starting our day with breakfast here! They serve great coffee alongside incredibly yummy and healthy food. Sitting outdoors is a must, as you get a stunning and clear view of the sea while you eat. We even got to see a giant white ibis right nearby during our meal, which made it such a fun and memorable morning! The service is very good, making for an overall great experience. Highly recommended for a fantastic beachside breakfast!

We visited this restaurant for breakfast and coffee, and both were absolutely excellent. The food was fresh and delicious, and the coffee was perfect. The atmosphere is truly beautiful, right next to the ocean waves, which makes the whole experience even more relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and positive vibe. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great breakfast spot with an amazing view

Recently rediscovered this place after some time of avoiding it and have enjoyed the food. However today…. What a huge let down. Not sure if it’s a change of chef or an off day but it was awful.. Started with Cheesesteak spring rolls which were barely cooked and on the cold side. I got the chicken burger which was so dry and tasted burnt. Just inedible. My partner got the Steak Sandwich and he said the steak was overcooked and the bread was dry and inedible. Nearly $200 for lunch and drinks so will give this place a miss for awhile and hopefully if I come back it has improved. Needs more than a partial ocean view to make up for the awful lunch.

The Sandbar is located in a prime position overlooking Surfers Paradise Beach. 5 stars for atmosphere due to the beautiful view. The food was delicious, ample servings, fresh. The service I would give no stars at all. We arrived to a quiet restaurant. Several staff were buzzing around. They waved sit anywhere so we grabbed some menus and found a nice spot. Order via the code at the table. There were three of us dining. The first two orders were processed and the third persons order wouldn't go through. She walked up to the counter to try and pay and was told that the kitchen was closed between 11.00 and 11.30 to switch from breakfast to lunch. The successful orders were processed at 10.55, 11.03 and the rejected order was also attempted at 11.03. Consequently my poor friend had to sit and watch us eat while waiting for the kitchen to open. No alternative was offered. When the food was delivered we weren't given cutlery. We asked for water - it took 20 minutes and we were given 2 glasses for 3 people. 🤨 Just generally poor service.
