Great family day out with fantastic entertainment! We had a wonderful time at Kryal Castle. The staff were absolutely fantastic—incredibly welcoming, helpful, and enthusiastic, which really added to the magical atmosphere. There is alot to do throughout the grounds, and the scheduled entertainment is excellent. The Ice and Fire show was a massive highlight; it was incredibly entertaining, well choreographed, and kept everyone completely captivated. A couple of minor areas for improvement to make it a perfect 5-star experience: the quest scrolls for the kids could be improved or updated to be a bit more engaging and user-friendly. Use the attractions as quests as apposed to random questions. Also, some little touches are missing at the food and beverage outlets—it would be great if the hot chocolates came with lids to avoid spills while walking around, and including a marshmallow would be a nice, standard treat for the little ones. Overall, a brilliant day out with top-tier shows and staff. We will definitely be back!

The place is just fantastic. We stayed the night in the castle. Very cool. Walking around at night. We went early July...bloody cold. Rooms were warm and cosy. The place had lots of little side quests you can do so interactive. Windy on the first day beautiful the 2nd day. Book well in advance for a room.

Definitely somewhere you should visit at least once. We stayed over night on the Friday. So had heaps of fun exploring when the park was closed. Saturday morning we ate at Abbey Tavern. Affordable, delicious and the staff were lovely. The rest of the day was spent exploring and being entertained. We loved the Tournament. And I bought a few keepsakes for the kids. Some beautiful things are expensive. But other beautiful things are $10. My daughter loved her fairy gift bag from the lolly shop. You will not regret visiting. If you can stay over night even better

We had a fun night staying in the cabin and exploring the castle grounds. Its very charming but I think if a bit of work was put into the grounds it would be a lot nicer. Seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to not have the surrounding cabins be medieval themed or at least have some artwork or nic nacs that make it feel more special. Also the bed in the cabins is awful, it's two single beds squeezed together and as we were sleeping they seperated causing me to keep waking up from almost falling through the crack

Kryal Castle is visually impressive from the outside and the castle buildings themselves are beautiful. The architecture and interiors are probably the highlight of the entire experience and are worth seeing at least once. Unfortunately, much of the shopping experience feels MORE THAN. Many of the stores sell mass-produced items that don’t feel particularly medieval, unique, or authentic. The exceptions were the blacksmith (AMAZING!) and the witchcraft/herbal store (AMAZING!), both of which offered genuinely handcrafted items and were run by passionate people. Those were the only shops where I felt the prices reflected the craftsmanship. Food options were also VERY underwhelming. Most offerings consisted of standard fast food, sweets, and brightly coloured sugary treats. Prices were high for what was available, so I’d strongly recommend bringing your own food if possible. If you are a normal income family with 2-3 kids, bring your food. It's simply not worth it over there. The jousting tournaments and entertainment may be exciting for younger children, particularly those under about five or six years old, but older children and adults may find the activities somewhat limited after the initial novelty wears off. Quite boring and cheap looking. While the castle itself is stunning, the surrounding grounds are fairly ordinary and there isn’t a huge amount to explore once you’ve seen the main buildings. For families, this can quickly become a VERY expensive day out, especially when the main activities are finished (in under an hour) and you’re left browsing shops and purchasing food. It's really not what the site is promising. My advice would be to visit later in the afternoon when crowds are smaller, queues are shorter, and you can enjoy the castle without spending as much time waiting for activities such as face painting. Overall, Kryal Castle is worth visiting for its beautiful buildings and atmosphere, but be prepared for a fairly expensive day and set your expectations accordingly.
