This was a trip with my sister who was visiting me from the UK. We have visited Lorne before just for day trips, she was so happy we were staying in Lorne for a few days. The hotel was lovely. Our first contact was with Hilary on reception who was so lovely. Just so friendly and informative, we were early so she took our bags ans suggested a great Cafe for a coffee, we came back and the room was ready. It was a lovely room, nice and clean, great views of the gardens and a short walk to the Pantry for drinks and dinner. Food was beautiful, breakfast too was excellent, again staff were terrific. Thanks for a most enjoyable stay.

Almost on the beach, this is a pretty good spot for those activities. Good buffet breakfast. Rooms are a little worn, but still OK. Showerhead in our room was in need of replacement. Not a bad place to stay at all.

Travelling with the Starrs

Overall not a bad hotel, However the Heritage Room we stayed in wins an award for the smallest bathroom we’ve had in any hotel…. we have stayed in hundreds around the world.. you couldn’t sit straight on the loo and if you dropped the soap In the shower you had to get out to pick it up On the plus side great location right on the beach and surrounded by restaurants and cafes . Plenty of parking no issues. Check in was easy. The bed was comfortable and decent sized room . Not a fan of having the vanity in the room though. Another gripe was we went to the bar at 8.45 trying to get a drink after dinner and were told sorry closed… Breakfast was good with good services. Travelling with the Starrs gives Mantra Lorne ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Starrs

A nice room which staff allocated after a request when we arrived. Ocean view. 3 nights with one breakfast. Breakfast was very busy don't go at 9am. The location is excellent, close to the town right on the sand. No noise from our room. We have been in mid December for many years. Love Lorne.

The rooms were dated but clean and very spacious. The hall areaa outside the rooms had a feel of a dormitory/prison, not great but served a purpose. The grounds were very good and location absolutely fantastic. I had breakfast one day and got there early - queues were fine and food choices were good. Would happily return if I visited Lorne again.
